I think I solved Activision's pattern!

WoLK = New class (DK) - Good expansion
Cata = No new class - Bad expansion
MoP = New class (Monk) - Good expansion
WoD = No new class - BAD expansion
Legion = New class (DH) - Good expansion
BFA = No new class - BAD expansion
?? New expansion = New class (tinkerer) - Good expansion ??

What if their data told them that as long as they didn’t crap the proverbial bed TWICE in a row on expansions that they could retain subs? From what I see everyone OTHER expac is garbage, but they seem to slip between good and bad…

Wasn’t the greatest (because pandas and pandaria didn’t feel like war ), but it was better than Wod and Cata imo.

I’d do anything to go back to Legion. RNG bs legendaries aside, it was the most fun I had since WoLK.

Agreed. I also really miss my Artifact. I thought I wouldn’t miss it at all, but now here I am wishing I could have it back.

The problem with Legion is they overbloated it, setting the bar too high. You have Artifact weapons, multitudes of Legendary items, Tier sets, and personal character growth with your very own Class Hall and story. BFA basically took all that away in a blink of an eye and they want you to be okay with that. Go Cold Turkey.

I would argue that WoD was the only truly bad expansion.

WoD = No new class - Worst than Cata expansion
Legion = New class (DH) - Better than MoP not as good as WOLK expansion
BFA = No new class - Worst than MoP but better than Cata at first and was going down expansion
?? New expansion = New class (tinkerer) - with hope of being better than BFA. but mostlikey will not reach WoLK level Good expansion ??

Legion wasn’t a good expansion though. Class design sucked back then, too.

That one was not nice to me. Not sure why. I got very few legionaries from it. The most one character had was 4 or 5 total. That because of quest that gave me a ring. I here that not possible. trust me. I had no luck at all.

Your formula is way off because Legion sucked and BFA is awesome, or at least I think so anyway

They still say cata and wod are bad after they’ve past while revering wolk and mop… :thinking:

Interestingly enough cata and wod were the only ones with terrible content in their first major content patch

It will only be a good expansion if Blood Elves can be a tinkerer, if its restricted to gnomes/goblins then it will still fail.
