Last Thursday we were preparing for our Onyxia clear. As most of us started meeting up in Menethil Harbor and got on the boat, I dueled our second tank for fun. When the duel started I feared and mind controlled him off the boat as it was leaving the docks.
The tank then logged and hasn’t been on since then. He went MIA and now the guild leader is blaming it on me. What I thought was innocent has turned into bikini drama bottom as of late.
What do you mean? Congratulations! You are the undisputed main tank!

That is usually done to the opposite faction. Doing it to your guildy is quite bad.

Some people have reported they can’t log into their character after this happens. Some people have been stuck for days waiting for the server reset before their character is moved to somewhere safe that they can then log in.
I sure hope this is what happened. Your OT is caught in limbo. That thought is just hilarious to me. ha!
If your MT is so dramatic that something like that makes him stop playing, you just did your guild a massive favor.
Imagine getting him geared out to the teeth in Phase 1, slap some Bindings on him, and come Phase 3, something happens and poof.
Suddenly your guild is down months of tank gear that could have gone to a more reliable player, and lost their Thunderfury candidate to boot.
Good work.

Meanwhile, that tank might now be stuck and has to wait until the next maintenance to log in.
I hope that’s not the problem. I felt bad afterwards, but come on it was a joke.
Must be real fun to be in the same guild with you while you kill your teammates with mind control and put them in a terrible inconvenience.

Did he play often? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it. Maybe he’s having RL/internet issues? Again, I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s whatever. However, it’s sounding like the tank may have rage-quit because… wait for it… you two were dueling for fun and he didn’t like the idea of being mind-controlled off of a dock? What, is he sad and/or mad because he didn’t like being “dominated” during a duel? What even is this? Wow. LOL. Talk about an over-reaction on his part… this is possibly one of the silliest things I’ve read in these forums. Yikes.
Mind control is off limits in duels. Much like potions.
Reminds me of the time in vanilla when we were getting ready for our MC clear. A few people /w for summons who are late of course as is usual, so I, being the evil warlock I am, put the summoning portal over the ledge such that they fell into the lava once they accepted the summon.
One of them was so mad he logged out and gave up his spot for the night, lol.
