I thought I had my character figured out thanks to the stress test months ago, but like with retail I’m indecisive and rather than having a toon at level 20+ I end up with 2-3 characters at level 10 and still no more sure on what I want.
Classic requires alot of time and dedication and I’m starting to worry my retail-alt-o-holic brain isn’t cut out for this. I have no idea what I want, and like with Skyrim I fear I’ll grow burnt out with starting over and just stop enjoying Classic altogether. (Also because the process feels longer since I keep starting over and leveling is already slow paced enough)
Heck, I mostly play Horde on retail but with most of my friends going Alliance in classic I feel obligated to be with them…? I’m always struggling with making something and sticking to it. I was so sure I wanted to roll a mage, but now I have a level 11 undead lock, a level 11 night elf hunter, and a level 7 gnome mage just kinda there? LOL
Anyone else having this problem?

people usually re roll once or twice its normal. However for me what I did was I stuck with 1 character and forced myself to get to 60. I loved it once I reached 60. you just have to stick with 1 and try for at least 40 before you think about another one

Stop looking at it like it’s a problem. You need to try a few classes to find what you like, so if you like one of those, stick with it, if not try another one. 1-10 in a day is easy, and the game will be still be here when you find the “just right” class.
PS Contrary to the opinion of some, it’s not a race; there is no trophy at the end.

I guess I felt like it was a race since all my friends are all, “I’m at level 20 already woop” and I’m over here at the creation screen going, “Crap crap crap which one?!” xD

I solved my indecisive issues by leveling 10 toons.
2 warriors
2 pallys
2 mages
2 warlocks
2 priests
^ on account 1
2 druids
2 hunters
^ on account 2 for later.
I’ll be speed leveling 1 of each and slow leveling the 2nd of each.
What im doing is getting this character to 35 so i can have a transmuter funding my main alts/main. Id suggest you focus on one till theh can support your alts. 3 characters at lvl 10 does nothing for alts but a lvl 20 will start getting greens/blues for alts.
Edit: another note is dont delete a character. This game will be here as long as you want. You shouldnt be afraid of to have alts just focus 1 then complete small goals for alts like a level a week or something.

OP, I have ALWAYS had this problem lol. Back in Vanilla I just kept going back to one character to get it to the level limit, but I had so many alts it wasn’t even funny.
/hug take your time and smell all the peacebloom

At least I know I’m not alone. XD I feel slightly better about it now.

I don’t consider it a problem but yes, same boat. Got my Dwarf hunter to level 13, am having trouble finding quests to keep leveling and the draw of making an alt is getting strong. If nothing else, it’s a good way to make sure at least one character always has rested xp.
No you’re not alone, I’m starting a rogue tonight, so that will be another grind through the starting zones for me too.

Maybe watch some more videos about each class, and let your own mind decide. Maybe you just get certain itches at different times. Its neither normal or wierd to play in any other way than what you feel is most entertaining.
I remember vanilla very well when I was there. Before I even purchasee WoW when I was 12(mom bought it for me) I saw a picture of a hunter and wanted to be one. But instead I rolled a priest because I wanted to feel more necessary. Insecurities of a 12 year old.
Now I am maining the class I always wanted to be when I was a kid. Has never felt like a poor decision yet. I can do everything I wanter in WoW. Have self reliance, utility, deal great damage, and be productive.
Everyone has their own way of playing, you just have to find yours.

Abrani, this is an intervention, we are all friends here, but you have a problem, you are an altoholic. You need to go to altoholic anonymous, otherwise we won’t pay your subscription anymore.

Thanks alot for the support; I do feel better. A part of my problem I find is when I’m running around I’ll see another class with a cool spell or ability and go, “Ohhh THAT looks like fun!” and then I roll that, then I see another one and the process keeps happening. Or since I like to RP I always have an urge to make a new character with a story etc. XD

you’re being that guy who goes to the gym and does one set on a machine, rewards himself with 15 minutes of screen time and move on to the next machine.
Just stick with something and push through.
you can enjoy classic the same way as living life. You don’t have to rush to the end game, just do a couple quests a day, run a low level dungeon or two. Power through quest hubs when you feel motivated. Do some pvp.
Just keep logging into the same character and do different stuff.
Loch modan/westfall are good starting points at that level.
I would find a class you can take all the way first. And use the rest as your itch scratcher
On the south west corner of loch modan there is the “in defense of the kings land” quest that has 3 parts. Its really good exp along with 1 other quest. Its actually perfect to start at 14 because it starts at 12ish and goes to 16ish. Youll likely level up off that chain alone.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll check it out.
It took me 3 months to hit level 60 back in vanilla because I spent so much time leveling alts, dueling in Goldshire, or doing BGs.
I wouldn’t stress over it, just enjoy the game at your own pace, and be patient in figuring out what character you want to stick with.
