I think I found the real WoW killer

It’s a very old game called real life, the graphics are insane.

The gameplay’s it bit grindy, and there’s the perms-death feature, but u should definitely give it a try.

Well sadly many people fail at that game. That’s why it’s not as popular.

Yeah but the main city hubs have a lot of hostile mobs

  • One Race
  • Have to farm hard for gold
  • PVP can happen in PVE zones
  • Character stats get worse as you level
  • Very little action
  • Only things to kill are insects
  • One death = game over

Please stop trolling. That game sucks worse than Duke Nukem Forever…

At least the PVP in “real life” is pretty good. Balance is spot on.

Not to mention an 18 year tutorial

(I only have 5 years of tutorial left, but STILL)

Electricity is the WoW killer. My power just mysteriously went out :disappointed:

Ugh, no. I created extra characters in that game. They were way too expensive to begin with. For the first few years, they required far too much maintenance, and after that they stopped responding to my control entirely!

There is a game built around this WoW killer already, although a subscription is required to play…

My main forgot to send gold to my alt so now I’m stuck struggling.

Professions are a joke. If you don’t already have super successful friends on a server or start out with a gold boost there’s pretty much no way for most characters they’ll ever make enough money to not only cover repairs and get some basic consumables but also buy nice mounts and cosmetics. The in-game system incentivizes paying a lot of gold for profession leveling but then when you’re done leveling there often is no need for your profession at all.

This game is extremely overrated.

Tinder sucks, All it is is collecting mounts.
None of them fly and most just lay there.

Well not all professions. Although some are a joke, others will forever be in demand. Unfortunately, since our stats go down as we go up in levels, we may not be able to maintain those useful professions :(.

The player housing system needs some work.

Yea.

HC mode is great at the start, but loses it’s lustre after awhile.

No it’s not all professions but ironically many of those that are incentivized are those you have to spend thousands of gold on and have to do all those tedious daily quests for for sometimes two decades in total and then when you’re done instead of the promised rep boosts and player housing the GMs give you depression and fear of the future debuffs. It’s a huge scam.

But it seems to partly also be because the veteran players who’ve been around since vanilla gatekeep many parts of the content. Especially when it comes to player housing and playing the auction house.

Pretty toxic community too. A bit like the LoL community sometimes though there are nice players as well.

That’s a common bug. You have to spec into discipline to fix this gameplay issue. Otherwise you have the city guards bothering you at all hours of the day.

It’s a really bad time to start playing. They’re experiencing an expansion launch bug from 1918 again.

Some players have found a way to fix it client-side, but it’s going to take a long time to pass the code around.
