→ Raiding is consuming too much time (3 hours a night)
→ New loot system and RNG makes you not get loot, so you have little to show for your time
→ You fight a boss for 5+ minutes, if you wipe you start over etc, it’s really repetitive
→ With M+ being fast and better for both gearing and not being bored, it feels like I am wasting my time spending hours in a raid.
I used to love raiding, I used to raid all day every day(cleared Dragon Soul on 8 toons a week). I don’t know what changed, but I just can’t do it anymore. It isn’t fun.
Welcome to the next phase of your wow life! I stopped raiding hardcore years ago and now only do things I find fun (which sometimes includes a one-off raid)
So much more fun not worrying about having a billion consumables or grinding pocket lint for +1 agility
i just cant do the discord thing. every group these days wants to use voice chat and i just have no desire to listen to cringey gamer voices in my ears for 3 hours straight
u can but there will always be that one severely socially inept guy who thinks he’s funny and cracks jokes no one laughs at, keeps cracking them despite no one laughing, and it just spoils the whole experience
well I think that only happened once back during nyalotha but it remains burned in my memory and im too scared to join another discord for fear of having to endure that again
Not raiding anymore is the best decision I ever made. Sometimes I will pop into group finders but that’s it. I’m too old for the regularly scheduled nights.
This is why M+ is better. Low commitment. Can do one or two at a time. You get the same gear, well maybe not mythic raid level gear but haha big no thanks to that.
