I used the base everything for all the races. It didn’t take long, maybe 30 minutes? But it was just not enjoyable lol.
Glad you got them done!
I did discover by accident you can cheese the finish line. Once the finish line is the last hoop, if you press 5 to restart the race it teleports you back to the start and it completes the race, it’s how I got gold on the Casino Reverse.
I rode the car twice over the course of finishing out the currently available campaign steps. I think I’ll be just fine with regular ground mounts.

Yeah, gimmick mounts have zero appeal to me at this point. Seasonal gimmick mounts seem even more pointless. I’m fine with just getting to the destination 3 seconds slower while watching YouTube on one of my secondary monitors.

Sure! Is ok if we are forum friends for now? Just on a social media exodus.
Oh sure, I was just gonna toss you my btag. I toss it everywhere. Shad#1132 if you want it.

agreed, 100%.
and just build the zones to accomodate it.
this weird war on flying they have going on is counterproductive. It’s not making anyone “engage with the open world” any more than they would be if they could fly. It’s just causing frustration for all parties involved.
That’s EXACTLY my issue.
DRIVE itself is insanely cool and really a nice ‘version’ of Dynamic flying for ground. However, the structure that you ride the vehichle on is horrible.
The city is indeed extremely cluttered. And the goblin aesthetic being visually chaotic exacerbates this. The city is also circular, and the main lanes do not have visual cues of where you are exactly, so it’s very easy to keep missing where you should go. I get that may be what a goblin city is supposed to be, but it actively works against gameplay enjoyment.
Also, personal thing, but this is my main… and I find REALLY weird to see my tree hugger druid driving… a car.
I’d love if we had a driver, and could ping a point in the map so an AI could take us there, even if a bit slower than player driven.
I think i’ll find myself using it only occasionally.
Sent! It’ll be from Ishu.

Im trying to figure out the whole new zone and drive thing is maybe for 8 year olds
I will say it does feel pretty bad. I was excited for this feature as I love dynamic flying, but this just ain’t it. The races are probably the worst part. Hitting something that’s 2 pixels wide and bouncing backwards on a good run just feels so bad.
