Let’s be honest, none of the games that blizzard made in the last few years have been good. WC3 Reforged was rushed and unfixed, Overwatch’s popularity lasted for like one year, WoW’s recent expansions like BfA and Shadowlands were underwhelming, and patch 9.1 took too long to be released.
Call me crazy but I think the last good game that Blizz made was Diablo 3. Yeah you heard me, D3 was the last good game blizzard made. Sure it had a messed up release, which put a bad taste into people’s mouths, but with the RoS expansion, it became an enjoyable game for some people.
I enjoy D3, despite the lack of recent content, because of the challenge rifts and seasons. I just started Starcraft 2, and I enjoyed it a lot! I honestly enjoy the older, undeveloped games from the early 2010s because they have been spared by the madness of the recent incarnation of blizzard. And no, D3 was not a failure, it is the 3rd best-selling PC game of all time, and from what I heard, 15 million people still play the game. That was recorded in 2015, so I imagine it’s different right now.
But I don’t think D4 will be great. I just know from past experience that all the recent titles blizzard pushes through have been disasters and that since WC3 Reforged has been promised to be fixed for months but no feedback from Blizz, I just know that D4 might end up like that.
