Moving forward with the new expansion, I’d appreciate if tier sets are removed or not tied to raiding anymore. Perhaps split the gear? Why? It’s a slogfest, there’s no depth, and it’s boring. I’d rather grind for the zuk pet+infernal capes in osrs than bother with that drool fest. DF has been so anti raid and it’s awesome!
Let the nerds who dedicate hours on end per weekends, like they’re working part time, have their fancy mogs and achievements. Just let me do M+ and chase my own goals. Thanks Blizzard.

One of the many criticisms of Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands; I don’t think Blizzard will try to pull that stunt again any time soon.
They already did this to a huge out cry. You don’t like raids, so you don’t want tier to be tied to them. Unfortunately, that’s just entitlement. The way gear is now is fine. you have your catalyst for people who don’t want to raid or for bad luck protection.

Yep, not having to be irrelevant in M+ for the first six weeks, and then another few weeks on every character I want to play, because I don’t raid, would be sweet.

They aren’t tied to raiding anymore. You can convert gear in the catalyst.
It would be nice to have catalyst charge access outside the weekly. Like maybe it has a chance of dropping off bosses.
Catalyst came out later though. As a previous poster said, I don’t want to be irrelevant in m+ content because I dislike raiding. Then even longer just for alts
I’m also sure raiders want people who enjoy raiding instead of having those viewing it as a prerequisite chore to other content (m+)
I see your point. But I don’t think getting rid of tier gear is a good solution. Better gear existing is just the reality of the game. It always has been. I suppose you could advocate for raid set bonuses to be deactivated in M+, even if just until the catalyst is up and running. Or maybe M+ should have its own sets with its own bonuses.

I’ve always wished good gear and drops weren’t tied to raids because I can’t raid for personal/mental health reasons. It would be nice, but unrealistic.
Loads of people love raiding and they earn those drops through hard work and team work. I think people would be upset if their raids no longer offered them exclusive stuff.
Even so, I think they should raise drop rates a teeny bit. Raids are hard enough to do, from what I’ve heard, only for a .02% drop rate. Ouch.
I’d be now inclined to raid if the rewards were pretty concrete. I guess the lockouts and the grind of itself adds to the stress of doing it
