If the intention is for the ring to be used as BiS this tier, and replaced by the raid next tier.
Add secondary stats like all rings of the same ILvl, while keeping the gems.
this allows the ring to become BiS for every class and spec instantly.
Disable gems next tier.
This will allow the rings secondary stats to remain relevant, but with gems disabled it will be able to easily be replaced in the next tier.
**Without secondary stats, disabling the gems next tier will make that slot dead.
Meanwhile, while having no secondary stats, you have to buff the gems abilities into actual absurdity for some specs to take them, making it a balance nightmare.**
Just bite the bullet, add secondary stats, call it a day, and the rings will do what they are intended to do.
I got the ring today, took what the guides told me was âBiSâ and upgraded them all to 424 iLVL, than went and farmed 29 keys and cleared the vault, brought some profession items to summon more rares, have claimed all the dragon riding glyphs and am no on clean up duties already.
From here until 10.1 I will be sitting around waiting for events to happen, farm things for the 2 new mounts, otherwise I am done, on day 1.
Itâs not. Itâs a catch up for people that do not do high end content to keep us busy and will be replaced almost immediately in 10.1. Why people are treating it like some sort of gift from the gods is bizarre.
Then why in the most recent interview with ion, it was said that the ring was intended to be BiS for all classes and to be replaced next tier during raid progression?
This is like when a kid eats an entire gallon of ice cream in a day and then complains when there isnât any more. Maybe take your time and donât no-life it on day one next time lol
