And it sucked… I died a few times and had to restart 8 because friggin caster mobs are INSANE without the right powers.
Good luck to everyone else out there, because I used to enjoy goofing off in Torghast, trying power combos, and just chillin… Now I don’t even want to try Upper Reaches.

What is your ilvl if I might ask? I got smashed at 182.
187 as prot, using DPS trinkets.

i believe they intended that as you go higher you either need much better gear or to bring along friends, the issue with 8 is apparently being one shot at the end even if you took all the right buffs and had a full group ready and willing to go all out.
Layer 7 was pretty fun last night. I only died once because I wasn’t paying attention and spawned a shadestalker with the first floor boss and let him stab me in the back a bunch.
Sorry to the haters I guess, but the tuning seems to have improved things. I didn’t even get particularly good powers (kept getting maw rat choices) and it was still more than doable.
This was as frost btw. Have not tried as blood since they tuned it.
Nice. I was struggling a lot on my guardian druid. I really need to get some decent anime powers to win the dps race. Got the boss to almost 20 stacks and it wasn’t pretty at that point.
