If OP would of just paid attention they’d see the outline of the maw forming in Arthas’ eyes before it moves into that scene. It’s clear he didn’t see or react to the kyrian.

I rather like this addition to the lore.
There’s good ways and bad ways to do a retcon, and I see this one as a positive.

so uther and devos did nothing wrong, what was point of cinematic then? why is uther a renegade in bastion in beta? he just did his job right?

It’s clear they did something wrong. I get the point of the cinematic, you just clearly forgot what you asked in OP and are now trolling or really just confusing people.

The point of the cinematic is to showcase why The Kyrians purpose is important, and why it is flawed.
Devos is right that there was major oversight when it came to something like Arthas happening.
But by manipulating Uther, she broke the path leading to the one thing Kyrians should never do.
By being emotionally biased, Uther rendered judgement onto Arthas before he faced judgement from the Arbiter.
if they did do nothing wrong why did he see maw? clearly that’s where he was meant to go right

What he saw was an angry woman reaching for him, filling his vision with darkness, then if you look at his eyes just before the transition to the maw, you can actually see the maw there.
yeah he saw a giant blue lady, not darkness, he’s not a beatnik i don’t think he would have tried being poetic in his death.
No offense, this seems like complaining to complain.
This is new lore that doesn’t tarnish or change the original story. Arthas remains in tact. All they did was add additional lore post-ending.
Which wasn’t bad. Could have been a lot worse than what we got.

He saw the Maw because Arthas is bad.
They on the other hand skipped the whole system of the Arbiter since the Arcon refused to act on Devos’ wishes of worries regarding Arthas.
Hence they go and become the Forsworn Kyrian.
They go against how the main Kyrian in Bastion whole system.
Again, watch the video. He saw darkness. Doesn’t take a genius to see it.
