I removed Necrotic Wake

This dungeon is just too much for my brew tank. If the group is not perfect to make up for my lackluster anti-magic defense the dungeon is just a lost cause. Unless the group waits up to 2 mins before each pull so I have every CD up and use every boon (spear, blue orb, shield) to save my brew master on the trash pulls.

It is so stupid how easy that dungeon is on a Prot Pally. I see why people decline a brewmaster tank for this dungeon. Why would anyone take a brewmaster tank to this dungeon and give themselves a much harder time with every aspect of this dungeon.

It’s really not about being the meta rather why choose the poorest choice of a tank you can get for Necrotic Wake 10+ and up?

Choosing a prot pally over anything is literally about being the meta. Brewmaster is a fine #3 tank.

Yeah, make KEG SMASH to the face interrupt casts!

Would be cool to have a small window where keg smash interrupts. Explosive Keg adding an interrupt to keg smash for 6 seconds.

NW has such a low completion rate, along with GB and SV, that after doing nothing but NW 14 for a couple days and finally timing it with only like a minute or 2 to spare, that put it in the top 9000 of NW runs on RIO. Literally not even my +15s timed are close to that. Not even my +2 14s. From what i understand too there is a point at like 16 or so that you need a priest to mind control the cleaver ads to kill some of the mini bosses and bosses like at all, which is abysmal. They way overtuned this dungeon I think probably to balance it around the items but you only get 3 spears and 4 bosses and similarly only like 4 shields and 3 orbs, but everything needs interrupted all the time. The second boss feels like a dh or dk dps is mandatory for sigil of chains or abomination limb. Even with a prot pally + dh/dk that fight feels brutal in every sense of the word. Even with spear and an orb. Absolutely brutal. The bosses have so much health and armor from what i can tell that even with spear and lust they feel like they drag on forever and ever.

The last boss too spams basically a tank buster at the tank and takes away one of your dps when you need as much dps as possible to break the aegis. Freedom makes the third mechanic of the fight trivial. I have seen brew monks be stuck in red stagger on last boss basically the entire fight. It’s so over tuned that some aug evokers have to step OUT of the dungeon and swap to devestation for last boss or optionally even first boss.

It’s insane really and I never intend to time 15 there. Iirc the blightbone frontal can kill a shaman through his 40% DR in 15 or 16 and requires an external every time, meaning prot pally with spell ward and sac are needed to consistently keep a squishy dps like shaman or boomkin alive if bad rng selects them for every frontal. Iirc even with cocoon if the shaman doesn’t have their damage reduction at 16 the frontal will one shot them. Maybe even at 14, because my cocoon is like 8 something million and shamans have around 6-7 million hp, and the frontal does like 15.7 million damage.

It’s insane really, if you manage to pull it off please come brag about it cause as monk this entire season has been insane.

NW is definitely the nastiest dungeon for a Brew. By a mile. I’d rather do SV or GB than NW. (I actually really like GB lol)
