I dont mind healing as holy but the class, no matter what spec, is just fodder for other more powerful classes in pvp.

Ret DPS is a joke - well known of course, but the pvp is really not great either - even moderately geared. Its a struggle and its frustrating.

Dont make my mistake, future players! Roll a warrior or rogue instead!

Don’t forget wasting tons of time in the raid to collaborate on who gives what buffs and since they’re so short they fall off by the time you figure out who gives what group what buff.

Nah ret pvp is great, I did it for the whole part of vanilla. You can’t be moderately geared though, you need to be as geared as an arms warrior.

You also need to have engineering, understand how to use rank 1 seal of command, and conserve mana for cleanses, belssings of freedom/protection/sacrifice, and spot heals.

Also bandage when you bubble, don’t holy light yourself.

leveling as warrior is just so bad tho.

Im debating between warrior and rogue reroll. I can feed them some gear from my level pally 60 paladin - who is not just a healing bot raid-logging.

That’s not even a thing. You don’t buff groups as a paladin and we have greater blessings that last 15 mins. Shhhhhhhhh.

Ret is a blast in PvP. You just need to know how to play it.

  • Well timed bubbles (for you, and BoP on a friendly that’s getting pounded by melee)
  • Blessing of Freedom
  • LoH
  • Being able to kill a poorly geared character in a global, or take away 50%-75% of a decent geared toon in a global is very satisfying
  • You don’t have to follow the meta. In fact, if you follow the PvE meta, you’ll get stomped and be OoM most of the time (wear plate with stam and int!)
  • Don’t just focus on damage. It’s a support class and way more fun when played as such

A shockadin is damn near unkillable in pvp and a severe danger with enough spell power and crit. Hand of Edward the odd for instant heal, mageblade for crit or heck, even the one from Mara. You are doing it wrong if you think a paladin is useless in pvp.

Every class went through their own woes and qualities.

Healing in battlegrounds with Paladin is insane, try it.

No, i am rolling a Paladin for pvp later on, and i’m going to be the most annoying healer ever. And i get to yell that i am oppressed while doing it.
