I just learned about all this pet battling controversy, and as someone whose favorite thing in the game is pet battles and whose main driving force in doing content and activities ALSO usually being related to pet battles, I’m really really upset.
I literally paid for the epic edition, despite having limited income because I wanted the battlepets that came with it. Now I’m starting to wish I hadn’t.

I didn’t even know how to react when my friend started explaining this to me, and I’m still really upset and in shock about it.
Theres no way I have anything to say that hasn’t already been said, but I know I’m not the only person who plays the game in HUGE part because I enjoy pet battling and collecting. thats right. not just collecting. the BATTLING. whats the point in collecting them if they don’t do anything!!!

This is so stupid. Am I just yelling at a brick wall here? lol
i’ll be shocked if blizzard takes any of our opinions into account.

You may be able to refund it. Be sure to tell them why you want to refund it.

went ahead and sent in a refund request. and also cancelled my 12 month sub which was set to recur in december.

even after giving it a few days i still feel so disheartened and sad about this, havent launched the game at all since even though i was super hyped and excited about legion remix. ive lost all my motivation and steam to play the game at all now, its making me really sad.

Edit:

Blizzard said I can’t get a refund on my epic edition purchase because my playtime has exceeded 2 hours. For an expansion that isn’t even out yet. And when they didn’t to tell anyone they were cutting a major gameplay feature until AFTER the pre-orders had been up for days.

That’s absolutely taking the piss, I’m so done with these people.
