Does anyone else regret it? I just do better when there is a focused storyline to follow. I know I’ve done them once already, but I enjoy redoing some of them. I’m struggling to finish my pally.
The only thing that is saving my pally is the fact that he is prot and I can level from oribos with instant queues (950g bribe per run that blizz gives does not suck)
Anyone else regret choosing threads?

id like it a lot more if maldraxxus didnt exist. that zone was awful before, but on threads its unbearable. the other zones are fast enough i didn’t have time to lose interest really.
Yeah on replay Maldraxxus seems to be the worst zone. When you don’t read quest text and just rush through it, Bastion isn’t bad. Has good music at least.

I thought it was going to be a chromie leveling style setup where i could do the zones in the order I want. NOPE. It’s more boring SLOG of worldquest that take forever. Whoever decided to implement it in its current iteration doesn’t play the game.

Well i guess i wont be choosing Threads of Fate
Thats exactly how i thought it was going to be!
Yeah it feels awful, im struggling to level my alts with it. Bonus objectives that take 10 mins to complete for a measly15k xp, World quests that give 9k xp and take forever, scattered quests with no followups (many of which give 900xp!).
I was expecting the objectives to be wod-tier but lol

A few minutes of research would have saved you a lot of heart ache. It was no secret that it saved no time in leveling a alt and in fact many said it would take ever bit as much time or longer and be a total Pain in the old back side the whole time.
So unless you really totally hate story mode. You was better off just doing story mode over a course of 8 to 10 hours game played time and knock it out on each alt. The other method is just not worth it at this point.

i didnt do it yet but my friend who i rerolled with 2 days in said yea he hates it for the exact same reason.
the way he explained it sounds awful in general tbh i dont even think i want to try it out lol.
Everything Gabitha said; I did some research and read/heard much the same (that Threads of Fate, in its first iteration, wasn’t really all that great).
I’m concurrently leveling both my Mage and Pally through the normal Story mode, and making good progress so far. Going for the full lore/story-mode read on the Mage and then catching up / powering-through on the Pally.
It’s working out nicely so far, lol
Worked great for me so far, granted my alts are all profession alts at this time.
What about from an efficiency angle?
Do you get more rep or gold or anything or is there no advantage at all except an alternate path
The main point of Threads of Fate is to dung. grind and do daily quests to get a head start on covenant mats / rep etc.

You can start in on the anima/rep grind early because the WQs are open to you and you can pick a covenant. But most of the fun covenant stuff like soulbinds is locked to 60.
Hrmm, I’ll check it on the first alt and see what happens
The downside is without a storyline to keep me focused it takes me 2x as long to get anything done.
It’s not? I thought I read you can go into any zone, any order with threads of fate
you can… its jus that the campaign storyline is not available when you do it. Only sidequests, worldquests, and bonus objectives.
It’s so much slower than story mode.
