Loud and epic music can definitely help accentuate a boss fight, but that just sounds like it’d be distracting and drown out any audio cues.
I personally don’t think something like that would work in wow.
Easy. Use more visual clues to make up for it

why not just play your own music if that’s the only criteria for a boss being interesting to fight or not.
Because for me. I shouldn’t have to do that. Doing that means your brain is absolutely bored of what it is hearing and needs something to stimulate it.
I brought up min maxing because the only people I can think of that wouldn’t want any audio mix ups are the folks that have stuff like deadly boss mods constantly blaring alerts as they fight.
Plenty of boss fights in games have visual cues so that the audio isn’t hogging up all your thinking
isn’t that the case regardless of where the music is coming from, in or out of game? If a fight bores you without music the fight is probably just boring. You not needing to open spotify doesn’t realistically make the fight better.
I’m also not saying we don’t need music and that it can’t be loud, really I think lyrics just distract too much - at least for me.
It at least shows the devs being all “this boss is cool. have fun fighting them”

Yeah theres a reason so many of us that play pokemon feel dread with just a few hints of piano in a song lol
Arceus was such a “oh…oh no…OH NOOOO” as the Volo theme went into the Giratina one.

Granted I haven’t raided much lately but i swear i remember tracks changing in raids like Battle for Dazar’alor, Nyalotha, Sanctum of Domination, Hotel Nathria, and Antorus.
All I know is Battle for Dazar’alor has an absolute banger of a soundtrack to it.
