I really like Delves, but

Yeah they need something for sure.

The most annoying thing to me is the web creators. A machine that makes a bat, the bat makes a web, and standing on the web makes spiders. None of that challenges us it just slows us down with even more sponges.

When I see the web things I pop a defensive and stand on top doing as much aoe as I can possibly pump out. They die and everything else does at around the same time. At this point I’m honestly ignoring most mechanics and just target dummy pulling.

lol I just started doing that recently too, I was thinking “why am I fiddling with this stuff.”

Throw a quick spell to bring things towards me, pop an offensive and defensive cd, and just go to town. Those mobs actually are set to show differently on my plater so I can get myself in the right mood.

Yup…that’s where I’m at too…there’s only a couple situations where you actually have to worry about anything. Occasionally I’ll get surprised but everything is very telegraphed. They make it pretty darn clear what’s happening. The only mobs that still kinda get to me are the kind that have very fast arching melee attacks that can’t be kicked. Sometimes I’ll end up getting hit with like 4-5 of those at once cause I’m brain farting. Other than that . There really isn’t a single thing that I can’t stand in front of kinda laughing a little. It’s actually really kinda in a great spot. It’s still fun enough to play around and try new pulls to challenge yourself. You can still die if you are totally braindead…and it’s no stress. Throw on some music and just play wow. I really hope they don’t change much tbh. When you wanna just hop on and scratch the itch it works.

So let’s not change things please. As it is, I can play around with all these mechanics to make the delves more entertaining than intended.

The two guys that charge. Get them close to a ledge facing the edge and wait for the charge.

In the mine when the mine cars are running, move the mobs onto the tracks and enjoy the show.

I use typhoon to knock mobs off ledges and bridges. Sometimes this can aggro the entire room below.

All of these are how a guardian Druid can add fun to the run, since there’s very little risk of death anyway. You should know I play these games in 11s, because otherwise it’s just a little boring.

And just to add even if you do space out and mess up, I have a few times for sure, it’s a quick run back and you have 3 chances before you lose rewards right?

If I fail then I usually focus up for the rest of the run just to make sure I get my loot!

Totally. I’ve even intentionally died a couple times to leave myself one life and did mega pulls just to find the threshold. It’s no punishment to anyone but yourself. It’s fun…lol.

The only aspect of delves that I dislike are how many scenarios have some variation of the floors being inundated by some sort of dangerous effect. In fact, the entirety of modern WoW is obsessed with forcing the player to move as much as possible. I hate it. I wish blizzard would tone it down substantially.

You just want to walk through and smash with heroic-mythis rewards?? Stop.

Overcharged delves are great with floor traps and towers everywhere.

Delves will be fine no matter what they add unless it’s a timer.

The one in the mines with explosives, I think the big bug?

One run I swear every mob I took out with explosives near the end I started to wondering if there would be a hidden achievement… sadly there was not but it made the run wild and quick

A lot of these things in delves particularly…are actually there to help you. You get buffs from running through the electricity…lines activate snipers. Spores can be used…charge mechanics…there’s quite a few. youre supposed to use that stuff as an advantage in most cases. I actually can’t really recall anything other than the dispell stuff on the floor that is bad. Maybe I’m wrong.

Now that would be a cool addition, we got um for dungeons and raids.

All we wanted was solo dungeons, kill and pull everything and run to the end and kill boss for loot. We didnt get it.

I wouldn’t even mind a decently random puzzle in delves, the pipe one is bugged or something it is always the same just move one pipe down and it’s solved. But that had potential

Why are you acting like I said it’s impossible to do delves? You can do it, so what? i never said you or anybody couldn’t.
It is doable, my point is that it could be A LOT more fun and a better pacing.

A better pacing, less clickable stuff, takes a lot of time to pick boxes this cast time should be lowered, taking “energy” back to robots multiple times backtracking is not fun… many stuff like that.

I’ve been playing this game since its release, probably longer than most devs, I’ve simply NEVER seen a single person click on an object or avoiding a trap and say the game is fun because of it.

You just described Time Walking, and you’ve had it for a looooooong time.

It would be SO MUCH better than backtracking and click stuff whole time.

You said you like delves, then proceeded to bash everything about delves that make them different from a random instanced questing area with one or two elites in it. I don’t think you really like delves. You are hooked on the idea that there is some perfect solo content out there Blizzard hasn’t come up with yet that’s tailored just for you. There isn’t.

IMO these changes would make delves worse than they are now, and they already suffer from not scaling high enough to be challenging to near geared characters. Yeah some of the objectives feel bad, and I can get behind not using those in the future. A lot of them are also pretty fun or are just thematic and non-abrasive.

T11’s

Also the reason we really hate delves as they are now is because of the meta with Brann either being healer or tank. While him still being trash at his job.

His healing pots never come out when needed and he just watches you die(typical healer tbh)

Tank brann doesnt really have any defenses… He just melts in T11’s even with 2 healers in group lol

Then i suggested new less frustrating objectives.
The concept of being able to playing solo, relevant content, precedes what delves are.
I like, love this concept.
I like delves at some extend, i like the idea that you have to do some objectives.

The problem is, the “different” aspect of delves is not good, we need this “different” to be better.

I’m not forced to like backtracking, clickable stuff, dodging polluted ground whole time in order to like delves, delves are cool but these aspects are destroying the fun.
