Yeah Wrathion is annoying and arrogant. He’s like your average Twitter user. Thinks he’s superior and smarter than everyone, when all of his ideas are actually stupid and have only made things worse.

I love Platinum WoW, he’s legit my favorite Lore Youtuber.
That said, Wrathion is what? Ten years old? He’s a dumb brash dragon and even if he’s Ten in dragon years the whole point is he’s still learning.
He’s one one of the actual few interesting and dynamic characters we have. He’s morally Grey without the Sylvanas BS. Killing him would be a waste of one of the cooler and more flawed characters we have.

Yeah. And even at the end of it, Planinum says something I agree with heavily:
“Flawed, complex, interesting characters like Wrathion are few and far between in the Warcraft universe.”
and he’s right. They tried and failed with Sylvanas, because so much of her story felt contrived. Wrathion’s story was a natural progression. He was never some perfect savoir like thrall, or ruined like the Banshee Queen. He’s (perhaps entirely accidentally) avoided most of the worst writing.
If you think we should kill him because he made a (granted awful) mistake when he was furious at both factions and desperate to do what his father failed to (Protect Azeroth) then… I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

As long as I can kill him slowly and painfully for what he did to the Red flight, after they sacrificed their lives for him.

We should have Anduin riding on Wrathion’s back and then suddenly from out of nowhere, a Black Arrow flies and hits Wrathion and they both crash into a giant lake of Molten Lava and disintegrate to dust. (Loud cheers can be heard soon afterwards 
)
Soon afterwards, Ragnaros emerges (all cranky and all) from the molten lava lake and shouts “TOO SOON! YOU HAVE AWAKENED ME TOO SOON, ERRR! Who the heck just awakened me?”

I’m more inclined to blame the red dragons for allowing the egg to be stolen and then failing utterly to find, raise, and educate Wrathion as a whelp.
They completely and inexplicably abdicated all responsibility for this dragon they created, and it’s not like he was hard to find in MoP. They didn’t make him a priority and now he’s everyone’s problem.
Given that the crimes he committed were done when he was a child with no guidance or guardianship (and his betrayal of Anduin in that same period is why I cannot fathom the Anduin/Wrathion shippers…it’s the dumbest…whatever), and given that he is now an adolescent with more wisdom and has done a very good thing to make up for and prevent a repeat of his mistakes by killing N’Zoth, I don’t want him killed.
I want him educated and held accountable by his own kind. That seems to be what we’re going to be getting in the next expansion.

He’s pretty, but dumb and self-centred in the extreme. I hope that if he is in Dragonflight he gets a serious dose of slapdown to bring his ego into shape.
