Somehow this pleases me.
It ain’t just streamers bud theirs hundreds of gold making videos on YouTube. If you think you’re the only one that knows of a spot you’re very mistaken.
It’s actually a perfect game for some streamers. We’re all trying to avoid saying his name here it seems, but Asmongold… He can ramble on and on telling different stories and stuff. Which works well in a game like WoW where he doesn’t have to pay much attention to the actual game most of the time. And he really focuses on tugging on your WoW nostalgia heartstrings. So, yeah I agree it doesn’t work in all cases, but in some it does.
Yeah, I have to do it, you know it was going to happen.
Using that streamer as a reference reduces any credibility of a post by 100%.
But I get your point.
But that’s actually just the nature of gold farming. You make your coin when you can-- when you see the space/craft that others on your server haven’t taken advantage of. Nothing ever lasts, so you made gold while you could and now you move to your next hustle.
Eh, I mean he’s amongst the most popular twitch streamers for a reason, people know who he is. But I fully understand why some people hate him lol. But we all know who we’re talking about here… Someone above even said “What up, it’s your boy, Streamerguy” (which is how he starts his streams, without Streamerguy obviously). It’s like if you say his name three times he’ll appear or something
Its a game I enjoy playing but I do agree not a good option unless your very entertaining. I am only doing it for nostalgia
I found a Wowhead post from 2008 about a great Mark of Sargeras farm and when I got there it was already full of jerks! Thanks a lot, Wowhead poster.
I don’t think people watch WoW for the content within, I believe players enjoy watching streamers play WoW. Personality and all.
I think there’s going to be a great reckoning from all this streaming nonsense. We’re fostering an entire generation of gamers who think gaming isn’t for fun but for financial solvency. Watching streamers who play games to put food on the table, or another Porsche in the garage, meanwhile your random schmoe is spending his leisure time emulating them for nada. No wonder most of the people on this forum are miserable.
Known to like 10-15% of the player base. You really underestimate how low, the lowest common denominator is. If not for streamers spoon feeding them, and sites like icyveins spoon feeding, the average “knowledge” would be non-existent.
I’m with the OP on this one, streamers and content creators are incredibly annoying.
How profitable is streaming? I know guys like Asmon and Xaryu allegedly make millions per year doing it. But are the unknown guys that you sometimes come across on YouTube or whatever making anything at all? I wonder if its above minimum wage or not.
