I would like a torgast like mode that gives competitive gear myself. That would be cool. I don’t really enjoy pugging or depending on others for upgrading gear. But it’s easier to get gear in groups for whatever reason.
solo dungeon that gives me mythic raid and mythic 15 gear. game is too cancer with gearscore now unless you have a guild
those that do are playing Classic.
Yes it means Multiplayer which only means you see others playign the same game you are,
It doesn’t actually mean you have to group up with them to play.
Agreed. Patterns, recipes, and the ability to craft something should not be gated behind renown. That is for classic. Not retail.
Renown is fine. You can get that eventually.
But gating items behind raids or dungeons/mythics is different and tends to turn players off.
Nothing like playing for a while and working through the campaign and then suddenly you encounter a step that can only be done by killing a raid boss.
I personally like it as a person who likes both solo and group content. People who are complaining often don’t know about things like the cobalt farm which makes me wonder if they played for ten minutes and then gave up.
Right i usually fizzle out by the time i finish the story… so far im still good… love the races…
I love that I’m not forced to engage with systems. I focus on what I want. Right now that’s mythic plus and normal raid, sprinkling in crafting (I’m alchemy and I don’t understand the hate, it’s fine), and doing only the world quests I want. Doing bare minimum for primal invasions to top it off. Content might be gated behind renown, but it’s unlocking so fast I can’t keep up. I have a massive backlog of cosmetics I need to get mats for to buy. I want to pvp but i don’t have time. When I’m through with gearing I’ll level an alt for pvp and transmog.
People complaining about no content are the ones who speedrun through the leveling and story, and play 10 hours a day. I play 3 hours a day (5 on weekends) and still am very much engaged.
My honest opinion? If a player doesn’t want to do dungeons (and I’ll lump in LFR as a dungeon to get through story gate), the player shouldn’t be playing mmos.
For the rest of that list (cobalt, obsidian rep, primal) I’ve been doing them solo the entire time. It’s absolutely possible. Just tag mobs. There’s other solo players everywhere doing these.
Why are people playing wow if they don’t want to engage with it’s main content since its vanilla release? It’s baffling.
Many people did not do dungeons also in vanilla. Farming gold and epics out in the world was big part of many soloers end game.
Many factors on why players don’t like grouping. The community and how it acts, The design of dungeons are pretty tedious, and just overall not worth the time invested vs reward.
The main content for wow has always been solo friendly mmo. It was the most casual friendly at release compare to other mmos, and only got better overtime. They tried to go back in design, and it has failed each time. Because MMOS have progress thanks to wow.
When you let the cat out of the bag, it does not want to go back in.
Nothing worse than jumping into a dungeon and finding the tank rushing to gather as much aggro and mobs as possible and then as you are burning them down, the tank buggers off to gather more trash to play with.
Or a healer who refuses to heal anyone but the tank ‘Because they are the important player.’
Or players who abuse you in chat for ‘Not knowing the easiest path to avoid all the trash.’
I admit that I don’t know all the ins and outs of the dungeons but I’m only doing LFG not mythics.
As a solo player, players like these are what I try to avoid. And they are reminders of why playing solo is better at times.
Note the primary difference in this experience is you’re not a solo player. You just said your primary focus is mythic and raids. This is the style that the current design caters to. I’m on the other side of this and I’m facing story exhaustion and painfully slow grinds for renown. Your 3 hours of progress since it’s catered to is probably equivalent to 10 or so of mine.
DF feels pretty good so far from a primarily solo perspective. I do dabble with group content, but the bulk of my play time is by myself.
I feel like I have a lot of diversity in what I can do to make progress toward a goal. What matters to me is if I’ll still have that feeling once I’m raiding with my friends after the holidays.
But with how I currently play, it feels good. Then again, I play a few hours a week right now. I wish I could play more because it feels like I still have so much to do. XD
What I’d like to see improved though is the following:
- I feel like the primal invasions are super boring and would benefit from stages and pop-up objectives, kinda like the Ashran mini games. I’d love to see some sort of PVE version of that. (Note: The Obsidian area kinda does this, too)
- I think professions need a way to respec. That or a good trial period before you’re locked in.
… That’s really all I got. Oh, and Goblin and Worgen Monks
Dungeons have been a staple of WoW since Vanilla. Don’t know if I’ve known anyone who skips dungeons and just plays wow for the open world questing. I could be wrong, but I’ll never be convinced that person exists.

This take is more weird for me. Many other mmos do dungeons better than wow. So players who play wow just for dungeons are the strange ones to me. To each own lol.

Hi. Nice to meet you. Now you have.
Solo player I’m having allot of fun. With my new job I can only play at most an hour a day and so far enjoying leveling and for the first time in awhile actually reading the text on the missions.
Looks like once I hit max level the new professions looks fun, i can max out my dragon riding, rep grinds etc.
The unhappy solo players are those who want a high ilvl for no reason.
You cannot put people in a Box
Don’t look in my trunk…
