Which version are you playing? Cata Classic?
How about Arenas or RBGs? Or maybe make a mini game of farming gold to cover token costs.

A lot of people are raid logging, others are levelling their 10th alt, me though, I’m achievement hunting and pet collecting, I want to have a very complete character!

Alt raiding, leveling, ganking, gearing, prepping, collecting… hell I raid daily to raid logging isn’t exactly a bad thing in my case.
Granted this warrior is probably pissed at me for being the only toon that hasn’t really gotten to raid in Cata lol.
I just want permanent wrath classic era servers. They took out all of the RPG elements and the old overworld in cata, as well as changing and deleting a ton of other things that didn’t need to be deleted or changed.
And in wrath you have achievements and stuff like that. Definitely the middle ground for me in wrath.

One good thing about this is just do it on one character so u can experience it once. That’s what I do and its alot better thh

Even I in era go I got 1 or 2 levels for the session. I can reach my fill of 200 dead things to get 10 items lol. And go fire up bioshock since on sale I said I’ve wasted more in bad beer lol. Another classic I never really played so I fix that lol.
Cata I just do some pvp passes here and there. Era can be is nicer mop waiting room oat items.

I don’t know why people think that not being inclined to play all the time and having WoW not be the only game you play is a bad thing. There’s nothing wrong with raid logging, there’s nothing wrong with playing multiple games. If someone wants to play more of a specific game then just find a reason to play I feel like I’ve said this at least once an expansion.
Leveling new characters, I’ve leveled one, nearly two characters to 85 in this phase and I’ll probably do it four more times because I want to keep playing WoW. Once they’re all 85 I don’t know what I’ll do. Probably won’t raid on them unless LFR comes with Dragonsoul, not really into PvP but I play the AH etc. which is one my reasons to log in daily.
I’m glad that you’re not disillusioned when you find that you don’t have something to do in Cataclysm.

it’s a raid log expansion (spoilers at this rate this team is handling things MoP wont be any different maybe pvp might help with that itch but I’m not holding my breath) lmao… everything has been sorted out and the terrible inferno dungeons arent helping either.
Every expansion is a raid log expansion.

Less so some of the others; in Vanilla, for example, characters take so long to level that if you’re just casually playing them, an alt would take months to hit 60 and max out dungeons and so on.
Both the fact that alts may have already been max level from prior expansions, and the massively increased leveling speed, means that this is not the case in Cata; it’s easy to have a max level dungeon-geared alt of every class you want to play.

Well sure but I don’t think you can use Vanilla when comparing raid logging in expansions, and even with Vanilla in consideration if you can raid log MC then it counts which you 100% can.
Either way, this is from the perspective of the OP. To me it seems like their only playing one character and the only reason the log into a character is to raid because that’s all they find enjoyable and so looking through the lens of someone who plays only one character Vanilla Classic was a very raid log version of WoW.
Personal experience with Vanilla Classic
From my personal experience I had only one level 60 during Classic (this Mage,) until I leveled a Druid in P6. I didn’t really raid log but that’s because I set goals for myself to complete like, get exalted with every faction (except the Thorium Brotherhood) and when I wasn’t doing that I spent 1-2 hours fishing down STV, Tanaris and Feralas for Mithril Bound Trunks.
When AQ was coming I farmed the Twilight Cultists for their pages so that I can hit revered with them as soon as the AQ patch came out (IIRC it required ~3k pages) and when the patch did come out I spammed the repeatable quests until I got whatever it was that was my pre-raid BiS.
For Naxx I probably raid logged most of that nothing to do and everyone was just waiting for TBC to be announced and then released so not much point to log in other than to raid.
There’s reasons to play each expansion, including Cataclysm people just need to find the reason and if they can actually be bothered to actually follow though with it.
Theres a middle between raid log and daily chores.
Mop will at least have challenge modes. Hopefully they are made seasonal. In OG I think they just scaled your gear and had the same difficulty all expac.
Current ilevel 5 man content would be warmly welcomed. Another avenue for heroic raid gear is needed for 10ms
There are a lot of things to do. It seems that your problem is finding something that can hold your interest. You can make am achievement tournament with your guild, you can do archeology, You could hunt mounts, et cetera. Not everything in the game is instant gratification. try something new and see if you find it fun.

Usually pvp as a side thing keeps my interest. Not this time around, pvp is pretty not fun in cata

Yeah, you can’t expect content to just fall into your lap, you need to seek it out with the motivation to go through with it.

they seemed to have gone out of their way to kill the fun for alts here too.
to get the weapon you must have 7200 honor!
we have a 4k cap. so you guess on when the code lets you see that. as the counter resets everytime you buy something. made 4K, spend 3600…your counter is 400.
Latest alt I jsut saw a nice 359 staff deal in the AH and said screw this. touched up pvp armour gear, and just cap her 4k via wg and TB spam since basically autowins for alliance. To bank for later.
At some point I finally saw the wand in this. It Would have been nice to see that on the first 750 honor collection though.
they really should have just had the weapons like the rest of the gear here.
