If you want dps spells why are you playing a white mage a healer?
I can imagine FF players saying the same about this game.
âGot bored of the lull in FF, so decided to go back to WoW for a bit. Holy crap, it feels so outdated and boring. Characters have like 1 line of voice acted dialogue the entire expansion. Professions are still complete trash without unique animations. Guilds still have no hangouts and must AFK in capital cities.â
I mainly play WoW, but itâs hard to compare 2 such different games.
Its a final fantasy game. You mainly play Final Fantasy for the story. Main story quests are required to play the game and do the newest content and expansion. They do offer paid story skips but if you buy them you missing the whole point of playing a Final Fantasy game which is the story.
Filler quests that are attached to MSQ can barely be called story. Theyâre forcing you into time-wasters when they could just make the main story beats necessary.
WoW could learn a lot from FF14
For someone who actively plays the game a new patch may add like 2-4 hours of story content and some of those being fetch quests are not that big of a deal. You almost always get done with new story on the first day its out if you are an active player.
I didnât buy WoD until late into 8.2. If I come back for an expansion, it is usually very late because I donât want to be testing the game for them.
But, I found an xbox one s on Nextdoor app for 50 bucks, it works great, and I have been playing Fallout 3. I have a huge backlog of games that I have been wanting to play from the xbox 360 onward, so I have enough games to keep me busy.
It is sad, because I want to play wow, but man is it frustrating and boring now with all of the endless rng, time gates, and just stupid stuff.
Oh well.
White mage has a ton of spells. Thereâs less for dps because itâs a healer role. I found the rotations in that game to be far more complex. If youâre only doing damage as a white mage, it can be boring, but damage and healing while weaving in off-gcd abilities is far more fast paced than anything in wow imho.
As I said at the time.
last time I played, it was capped at 4 units. If itâs not capped anymore, then neat, but it is still probably still pretty garbage.
Itâs expensive to cast, has a long cast time, and has a delay after being cast before it goes off. Which was just silly.
Imagine calling one of the best AoE spells in the entire game garbage lmao
The stuns with the Holy do pair well with the Regen kit. Even if the tank pulls big, the Regen, Asylum and stuns keep the tank up with high health.
Ive tried the game several times and it just doesnt stick with me. I like the immersion and attention to detail the game has. (The sound of rain on rooftops while indoors.) Also the effort they put in to pure fluff like weddings. I got pulled into one and was really impressed with the whole thing. The set in stone rotations and character builds are a huge turn off. Makes balance much easier im sure but gameplay quite boring.
Yeah. Itâs a fair enough reason if you donât like the core parts of a game others like. Itâs why we have other games after all.
haha, leaving wow to play FF is like tom brady leaving the pats for the bucs.
Iâd rather they make their healers busier with healing like in WoW instead of giving healers more DPS buttons. I spent my time as a healer essentially spending all my GCDs on Stone IV and the two Aero spells and I was bored out of my mind. I donât think thatâs acceptable when you play a healer class, you want to use your heal buttons not your DPS buttons. I heard itâs gotten better in the new expansion but there are still things Iâd like to do in BfA before it kicks the bucket and Iâm looking forward to Shadowlands so I guess I wonât know anytime soon.
All this is ironic because I loved healing dungeons with the crazy wall-to-wall pulling and juggling between healing and Holy spamming. Outside of casual mythic+ with guildies this is the best dungeon experience Iâve had. But raid and trial healing was just awful in Stormblood.
Maxed WHM back when FFXIV relaunched. Thatâs why I donât play it anymore. A WHM main is the most boring, eye gouging, face melting experience ever.
No thats Animal Crossing.
I reactivated Elder scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion. I am having a blast with Morrowind rebirth and OOO overhaul mods.
ESO takes up so much damn space. That is all that keeps me from trying it. Its almost my whole allowed usage for the month before my ISP starts charging me extra for every 50 GB. I guess if I broke it up and did not do all the expacs right away and slowly downloaded it I could pull it off without being charged and exra $10 per GB. I only get 250 a month.
