I put in a Help ticket with Blizzard, and they marked it closed without resolving

Yesterday, I created an in-game Help ticket with Blizzard, for an issue that I cannot find answers to here on Forums, or Wowhead, etc. (I’ve played WoW since 2008 so I know a “little bit” , and where to go when I don’t, but this issue is a problem that needs answering.)

Blizzard responded (looks like an auto-response) to go check Wowhead and other resources, but c’mon, I know that already…and I did that already! Then, they marked my unresolved ticked as “Answered” and they closed it.

My gosh, how times have changed. Is this how Blizz handles in-game Help tickets now? To not resolve them, but provide an auto-response to “check other venues” (don’t bother us) and be gone…your ticket is closed. Is this the best that Blizz can do?

(…and yes, the issue isn’t yet discussed/resolved on Wowhead, Google, here in Forums - in before all that jibber-jabber)

what was it you ask for?

What is your issue?

Sometimes Tech support forum works better than a ticket as there are others knowledgeable there who can possibly help.

I already asked this in Forums, but no luck. Since you asked…

I have a 6-mo sub until Nov. I opened the Traders Tender chest in August, saw 500 Tender, but it then disappeared poof when the lid closed. Checked my balance, but nope, the 500 didn’t add to my balance. This happened again after questing, rec’d 100 Tender when I opened the chest in Org, but poof again the 100 Tender didn’t get added to my balance.

Fast forward to Sept. On this toon, standing in Org, I opened the Traders Tender check in Org, saw the 500 Tender award, but poof it wasn’t not added to my balance. Ran some quests last night on another level 70 toon, opened the Tender chest in Org and saw 100 Tender awarded, but poof for the 4th time it just disappears, not adding to my balance.

That’s a template response. If it doesn’t apply to you, reopen the ticket.

Yep. For example, we are one month into no real response about the guild banks being bugged and items going missng, and now Blizz is about to lay off MORE support roles. WHAT SUPPORT ROLES? We have no support as it is. The “too busy to help, go to a user based website to get your answer” is really ridiculously unprofessional. It’s been going downhill for quite a while, but they gutted CS a long time back.

I did see an option that looked like I could keep the ticket going…and a space to write addy’l notes, so I copied/pasted the original ticket question, submitted, and hoped for the best

They did this to me too. About a technical issue in game. I think a lot of it is handled by AI anymore, so it just auto closes tickets.

Now with that being said, I just read through this:

This is a known bug that’s some sort of display error. I don’t know that they have a fix for this. But you could try to the usual troubleshooting steps of deleting your cache folder and doing a full UI reset. It sometimes works.

To my knowledge it’s just a bug, the amount tends to be late added. Was a big issue for like I would say 40ish% of players when TP went live. It should fix it’s self after a day or so when the account recognizes it correctly.

IIRC there are sometimes display issues with the amount of tender you have? Last month I watched the counter go up by 100s until I was up 1000; it behaved like I had the tender, but I couldn’t buy anything because I didn’t actually have it. You might have it but because it’s not displaying, it’s acting like you don’t?

I dunno, just a layman’s guess. Hope you can get the issue resolved.

Oh no. It sort of sounding like I’ll end up going to pound sand, and just suck it up buttercup. It’s a shame that things are like this with a game I’ve enjoyed for so long. I wish Blizzard would do better. Ty all.

I put a ticket in, received the survey asking about the email/response, received their email 2 days later

gone are the days of an actual gm showing up in a cloud of smoke emote within 30-60mins of you starting the ticket to personally help and answer your question. this game is gone to the dogs.

I do remember these times, with a smile! We’d put in a ticket, be playing in-game, and BAM there’d be a GM talking to us. They were funny, entertaining AND problem solving. I bet the new players won’t believe what I just typed…but it’s true. It really WAS like that.

Makes me remember one time when I was in a raid (probably at WotLK raid) and a GM popped into the raid group, and did something really nice for us/with us. We were floored - it was unbelievable, and yet, believable, because that’s what they did back then, for kicks and giggles.

I also remember searching many times for GM Island, but I digress…

I haven’t thought of Crossroads in such a long time. You’re really bringing back fun memories for me! Thank you
