I pugged to 3k…

Here’s my observations.

I played a Dev Evoker. The most played tank was by far DH, followed by prot paladin.

90% of the dh tanks never use silence sigil, Monks and Druids were rarely seen.

Healers were almost all disc with a few monk and shaman.

Since I never got PI, shaman was the best healer by far, a low cd kick, and stun are huge. Not sure why I don’t see more shamans.

Dps, most seen were Boomkin, mage, hunter, dk, ret. Almost never saw monk, priest, rogue.

Dks were usually pretty solid dps, boomkin was hit or miss, marks hunters were pumpers and ret pallys were consistent. Mages were usually really bad.

Hardest dungeon to get into was brewery and hardest to time was priory or ToP.

If you have any questions let me know. I really didn’t have a lot of fun and 80% of the groups I was in failed keys due to low dps

That’s all I’ve experienced pugging keys. Low dps who struggle to time the key normally, even if we have low deaths.

I’ve done keys where I thought everything was going smooth, then suddenly someone goes, “yeah we aren’t timing this” then they leave.

A lot of key runners brag about never stepping foot in the raid, so a lot of them are running around with trash trinkets.

Congrats, I pugged to 3k this season too. Similar experiences. I’m a Guardian Druid. Favorite healer so far is R Shaman as well. And I’ve had very similar experiences with mages-not so good. I liked to have dks for grips. Priory is toughest to time for me I think.

I’m the only Holy Priest people will ever see in their keys. I haven’t had anyone say anything to me yet or kick me for being Holy.

Shamans are busted though. The way they project their HPS is busted. AFAIK they have no ramp, they just start Chain Healing and doing 3mil HPS immediately.

Now what I don’t understand is why you lied about it.

But w/e. Have a great day.

What did I lie about? Are you role playing being an idiot or something?

Did you ever see warlocks?

If you did, which spec was most popular in your experience? And how did they perform?

Just asking because I’m torn between my mage and warlock. I love both but I can’t deny mage brings better utility, however, Destro lock has entirely uncapped AoE that can be absolutely bonkers on some pulls

Any warriors ?

I still have a question for you. Why pug to 3k and mentally strain yourself?

We both know there’s groups out there. Really chill ones.

I pugged to 3k with some pretty great warriors.

They were one of the rarer classes, honestly any class can achieve 3k. I’ve seen demo and destro both be doing great damage.

My point of saying the classes I saw is because my observations were kind of outside of what the accepted meta is at higher keys.

I’d say play whatever class you enjoy the most and maximize your potential.

Yea but only a couple, warrior tanks do a lot of damage. I wasn’t impressed by warrior dps but again I didn’t see a lot

Problem is my warlock is currently around 2500 and closing in on 3k, but I recently started gearing my arcane mage and it’s so dang fun I’m tempted to shift to that.

I didn’t anticipate finding a spec I liked so much and now I feel like I’m stuck between

“Well my warlock is closer to my goal so why stop now?”

Vs

“Well the mage is a lot of fun and bring better utility so maybe I should swap…”

Going to answer or just dodge?
