Here’s why;
-
Claws of Shirvallah were removed in Legion and no glyph was ever added to regain the appearance. Why would a cosmetic appearance like this be inexplicably removed for no reason?
-
The developers know what’s going to happen at least 2 expansion packs into the future.
-
Guardian druids got giant furbolgs as a custom artifact appearance whereas ferals still don’t have a saberon appearance.
-
That guardian druid form is getting a completely new animation in 8.3, so it’s not like the developers believe druids transforming into big creatures is fundamentally a mistake. Therefore, the saberon appearance must have been removed for different reasons.
-
Saberon skeletons are the exact same ones used by playable worgen, so they would support anything and everything the player needs to do.
-
There is currently no allied race that is related to or uses the worgen skeleton.
-
Alliance players are upset that the Horde got Vulpera due to it being a “new” race that isn’t canonically derivative of one of the core races. Saberon, if revealed, would also fit this description.
-
The end of the Mag’har orc questline explicitly shows that saberon escaped from Draenor and fled into the barrens of Kalimdor.
-
Saberon absolutely detest the Horde.
-
Saberon can be druids! They would be a natural option for the Alliance’s fourth druid race.
You can thank me when they are released. But I just think they’d be really cool to have

It’d be another race nobody asked for, so it works from that perspective too.

Nah, it would go to Horde.
Alliance will get another boring race.

That cracked me up, but more options never hurt. lol

Maybe different kinds of bear pandaren, sun bears and grizzlies and black bears
Saberon detest everyone and eat everyone. They’re kind of like prehistoric beasts that live in packs. They don’t even speak. They have managed to use magic and create simple tools, but they’re not an intellectual race who would join a faction.

I’m asking
No way. They hate the Horde. Their whole history on Draenor consisted of them eating the orcs and the orcs keeping them in cages.
That’s what makes them perfect for the Night Elves/Worgen to help them out just like the worgen themselves just needed to be given a chance and a helping hand by the Night Elves. Also, if they start expanding out into Kalimdor and forming new societies, the Night Elves and Worgen would find that very helpful as they could keep the Horde in check while they rebuild Darkshore/Darnassus so the Alliance doesn’t lose Kalimdor completely.

Yea, and Zandalari are some of the most xenophobic Trolls on Azeroth with a sect of them who tried to take over the world twice, and Rastakan didn’t care.
Yet Blizzard still managed to craft the most ridiculous and convenient plot of Talanji being caught by The Alliance, and The Horde being able to rescue her and earn Rastakans trust.

If you really believe the lore is that purposelessly fluid, wouldn’t that work both ways? It would mean the Saberon would still be just as likely to join the Alliance as they would the Horde.
At least with the Zandalari they already have “cousins” on the Horde in the form of the Darkspear. Saberon have no other connections to the Horde whatsoever.

They’re not an advanced species. They don’t even have a language. They just murder everything in sight like wild animals. They’re not formerly humans like Worgen.
It’d be like trying to keep a polar bear or panther as a pet.

And people literally do that in WoW. You don’t think the Night Elves/Worgen would have the expertise to tame them just as they would any other animal? They’d probably be even more skilled at it due to their unique situations.

And they they poop in their own houses.

I’d play any bear that looked more vicious and BA than Pandaren

You’re talking about a playable race, not a pet. And I was making a real life comparison, not a game comparison.
You don’t tame a playable race. That’s having a pet NPC, not a playable race.
In order for an Allied Race to be considered, they actually have to have a friendly history with that faction. Let’s look at the races that currently exist for example:
Alliance
-
Void Elves: Exiled by the Horde and saved by Alleria, who works for the Alliance.
-
Lightforged Draenei: Despite being aided by the Horde on Argus, their normal kin serve the Alliance, so they joined with them.
-
Dark Iron Dwarves: Their queen serves as one of the members of the Council of Three Hammers.
-
Kul Tiran: They were former Alliance allies in the past, and we aid them further by saving Kul Tiras from numerous threats, both internal and external.
-
Mechagnomes: While aided by the Horde during the fight for Mechagon, their unmodified kin still serve the Alliance. So they’ve joined them.
Horde
-
Nightborne: While aided by the Alliance during the fight for Suramar, they were ultimately spurned by Tyrande and found that they had more in common with the Blood Elves and the Horde.
-
Highmountain Tauren: While aided by the Alliance during the fight for Highmountain, their kin, the Tauren serve the Horde, so they decided to join them.
-
Mag’har Orc: Saved by the Horde from the corrupt Lightbound Draenei.
-
Zandalari Trolls: Originally no friend to either the Alliance or the Horde, we aided their Princess (now Queen) and solved many issues the Zandalari face on their homeland in order to secure their allegiance.
-
Vulpera: We aided their kin numerous times against the threats in the desert of Vol’dun and the Alliance tried to murder them and burn their caravans for no real reason, so they joined the Horde.
Now let’s think for a moment, what reason would the Saberon have to aid the Alliance? Where is the friendly connection there? There isn’t one. The majority of their population has been wiped out on Draenor, twice now, once by the Horde in the Main Universe, and more recently by the Lightbound on AU Draenor.
There’s no incentive for them to aid either faction. There’s no friendly relationship between the Saberon and the Alliance to foster, there’s no past connection that the Saberon have to any Alliance race. There’s just… nothing.

I predict OP is wrong. Here’s why- because. Making stuff up and being ‘right’ is ALL about chance, not reason. Sorry.
If they came through the portal with the Mag’har that would suggest that they were working with them as allies against the fanatical Draenei, which would mean this is no longer strictly the case. Not saying they like the orc now but they may not outright hate them anymore either.

You get angry very easily
I am saying that if you can tame a beast like a polar bear or a panther in WoW, you can definitely work with the Saberon. The Saberon are not on the same level as mindless beasts. They organize their society into chieftains and their magic users have a higher social status than others. They use tools frequently and you can even see their social rankings based on how they adorn their garments. That means they’re intelligent. They may even have a language; it wouldn’t be right to assume otherwise.
Maybe. I guess I always assumed they just kind of… jumped through. It’s hard to tell because unfortunately we don’t get to see the actual portal sequence itself. But if Saberon were working with the Horde that means the goren and the botani were as well, considering they get away too. And I guess I have a hard time believing the Botani would ever do that.
Not angry. Just emphasizing the point.
And I’m saying that you’re making the wrong comparison. My comparison was a real life comparison. And you’re still ignoring the fact that it’s basically be like having slaves.
Which is why I said…
According to Blizz there is no language and they’ve never spoken in game. They just defend their territories and kill everything. They’re savage and prehistoric. Ogres basically used them as slaves when they could.
So what you’re asking for is to have a slave race in the game.
I’m pretty sure they did. Like animals escaping a threat.
