I played Ele Sham for almost 10 years so give me a break.
I main pally, druid, mage and a rogue on the side.
My friend basically calls me a fotm reroller but look i played a weak spec forever… i think i deserve to have fun with strong specs.
My reasons for playing those classes/spec are first and foremost because they are fun to me and the fact i can one shot anything with ret/fire is a bonus i guess ? I also played boomy a lot back in the day before it was actually a decent spec. But i feel bad to play boomy now that its op even after all those years of struggle.
Am i a bad person ?
I feel all the classes are op right now except for Demon Hunters (rip my dudes) but still getting comments from people because i play the perfect trifecta.
Honestly there is alot of fotm specs, but the only time I would say you were a bad person is if you played a DK in wrath, Rogue in legion, and a demon hunter in BFA.
That sounds like child’s play to a legion rogue. Legion rogue kills you in less than a second when I was the most geared monk on my sever. Thier legendary allows them to one shot raid team before you can even pop a trinket. They can even kill you on flying mounts before you can react.
No, you’re not a bad person. I do the opposite. Give me a class no one plays so I can come up clutch. It’s like white knighting but instead of a woman’s love I like to simp for group buffs that everyone wants but that no one wants to play.
Edit:
Hence, Shaman. (Before they started selling off our parts to every other class)
I think its honorable what you do. Plus it must be satisfying to clutch on a bad spec/class.
To be really honest here. I could never focus on getting good on one character so i was always average on all characters. Now i am more focusing on my trifecta and i am much better. I always wanted to be gladiator but could never put the time and effort required. That’s why i fancy more powerful specs. I just dont want to struggle trying to reach my goal. Lots of gladiators just fotm their way to 3k rating.
So everybody in Wrath was a bad person? The only class anybody played for the first three months was DK. I still remember doing 5 DK groups with 5 copies of blood presence making a healer unnecessary.
play w.e. you like. why it matters what you play? i rolled mage years ago not playing it before just because it was OP fell in love with it. played the spec that sucked too well didn’t suck for m+ but for raiding i think it did at the time or vice versa.
just don’t be like my friend or some people where they only want to roll OP classes yet can’t stick to 1 cause they dont have fun playing it OR like some people they become very toxic thinking they are very good when in reality they are just playing an OP spec like yea bro i want to see you play a PoS spec and say that you have skills. balance helps with skills but when your playing a PoS spec your skills is what will drive you to the top.
