And yes for all you that will say “well just reroll fire”. That has got to be the most ignorant thing i have heard. First of all after busting our asses to get a legendary, frost spec of course because frost was still viable. We then spent soul ash upgrading the said piece once again frost spec. then out of the blue frost mages get nerfed not to the ground but under it as in the worse nerf in blizzard history and now we are just supposed to disregard the gold and work taken to make that legendary and just “move on” wtf.
Well just reroll fire.
As someone who has just rerolled fire. It is frustrating but worth it. The covenant swap was pretty painless.
What “worst nerfs in history” are you talking about? I don’t remember seeing any massive changes to Frost spec in recent hotfix notes.
My mage seems to survive better as fire than frost. Which is funny.
Im not sure exactly what they changed. I just know frost went from being viable to absolute worst DPS in the game pretty quick.
This is why I held off on making a legendary. I wasn’t going to screw myself over, since it’s a stupid process to go through and you’re basically locked to that spec for a while.
I don’t remember a recent one, but Frost Mage went from being the top DPS spec by some accounts in Beta to literally the worst (in Castle Nathria, at least) in less than a month. Iirc what did it was a series of legendary and Ice Lance nerfs over two cycles just before launch. Don’t recall whether we actually got nerfed post-launch.
If the nerfs were pre-launch then the OP’s gripes about wasting gold and time on a legendary are purely user error. It would only make sense if the nerfs were recent, considering it was impossible to even make a legendary until week 2 of the expansion at the earliest.
