Which one is more thematically correct and what should I go for the opposite if I choose priest of the other?

Well if you’re into rp I wouldn’t go void elf priest because apparently void elf priests can’t even enter the cathedral in SW with their own brothers and sisters otherwise the void makes them explode.
Are you looking for an elf woman to be your queen again varsity snacks?

Void elf fits Shadow ofc but not Holy or Disc
LF Draenei fit everything but shadow.
But I think you should focus more on racial traits in my opinion.
Void elf is the easy option here because they favor casters greatly and spatial rift is the few times you get some form of mobility on Priest.
I think this kind of convinced me i remember playing my zanda priest and having zero mobility.
I still can’t figure out Spatial Rift. I end up running ahead of where it wants to take me.
We do have speed boosts. Bubble speed or feather speed.
I’d say LF. Both disc and holy. Seems to fit well
My vote goes to VE for priest. LF Draenei is more paladin race.
Void Elf does better with DoT damage so ideal with Shadow. LF Draenei racial kind got nerfed indirectly where it isn’t being affected by other damage modifiers; though that could be a bug. Mine is a Night Elf for Shadowmeld to save my butt when stuff goes horribly wrong.
I have a lot of priest toons, I’ll vote Void Elf. Preternatural Calm is way too good to pass up, plus Spatial Rift is nice to use for mobility. I was told not many people like the teleport, but I do.
As for LF Draenei, their racials was nerfed a while ago. So, I don’t find them useful, especially the Blacksmithing racial and the resistance.
I’d pick Velf, but that’s because I don’t like Draenei at all.
…and for the record, my priest is a Dwarf, and my Horde priest is a Goblin. Goblins worship money and that makes them the first honest clergy ever. 
Druids,shaman,monks can all literally FLYYYY across a room at mach 7.

I was only pointing out they do have a couple of speed boosts. I wasn’t making comparisons.
just stating that priest are no way as mobile as other healers.
I play all healing classes. I know their mobility. But there are also heals you can keep tossing while you’re moving, whereas druids and shaman are shapeshifted while they move.
And granted, druids have a boatload of hots, but I don’t feel completely worthless on my priest.
