Classic has it’s share of dummies, but on average there’s a huge difference between a classic and retail group. In classic if I run a 5 man people will talk and generally be normal. Retail 5 mans…well, anyone who’s done a retail 5 man knows what that lot is like.
That’s the difference that matters. I’d rather slam my fingers in a car door than hang out with guys like the OP or Amy lol.
This may shock you, but all my high mythic plus 5 man key require discord and listen to call. Mostly to listen to tank but there are a lot of talking. Raiding and arena too. Discord is require Nowday.
Yeah, raid encounters have just been overdesigned ever since Cata or so. It feels less like an MMORPG raid boss and more like a 3rd person shooter action RPG where the main difficulty is just jumping through hoops and moving out of 5 different types of fire.
Actually I find the PVP to be very fun, but I also like ultra fast pace PVP, because its the furthest thing from dull. I do agree with your other points, that the dungeons are pointless with epics, and that the PVP system is bad.
I disagree with “no reason to log in” I really do enjoy leveling and building alts, and am setting up for TBC. TBC is what I am really looking forward too for PVP.
Shadow lands is certainly a step in the right direction, its more or less on par with WoD; that’s how literally terrible BFA actually was, but as for Shadow Legends, I cant say I share your enthusiazum for it, but I do wish you well.
Good luck out there, and hope to see you come back for TBC, the Arena’s are amazing and there is a reason to do Dungeons in TBC because many of the craftables require items from them, and some of the items are actually super good even into T5 even if they are a little on the rare drop rate side of things. Almost forgot about the Badge system for gearing alts, its also very handy and even good for supplemental gear for your mains.
I’m sick of hearing this hogwash. It’s a time gate and nothing more.
There is nothing “vibrant” about traversing the same trolling cliffs and mountains and packs of mobs over and over and over again. Once you’ve leveled, you’ve been there done that.
Cry babies are in retail as much as classic… and of course it will… but not every guild in classic even crushed BWL. You can’t judge a game based on that of the elite.
I loved WoTLK’s 10mans, because they made me feel like I could raid without anxiety if I wanted; it also helped prepare me for the actually difficult versions.
Nowadays? The lowest difficulty is tuned to hell and back. No, not LFR…I don’t really count that, since it releases late and is just a huge mess and either impossible for pugs prior to 10 determination, or too easy.
