I now understand who retail is made for

Yeah people are lying about their lifestyles lol, because it’s kinda embarrassing, after work and gym I’m so tired i don’t even wanna log on, so instead of making the wife turned off my staying up all night gaming i get sleep lol.

Have you tried being more intelligent?

Retail is for millennials, get all your stuff handed to you…

Classic is for old schoolers, you take what you get and complain not a bit…

Retail is for esports nerds
classic is for single and divorced men.

Vanilla WoW has immensely less daily obligations to make you log on. The only grinds are the grinds which you create. You will never lose an opportunity at rep or some resource because you didn’t log in to do your dailies; you can choose to play for 20 minutes or 12 hours without the game altering rewards to dictate which you should choose. The same can be said for leveling as well.

Classic WoW is a game where you can play for 6 hours a week and still be a dedicated raider with a decently geared character(s).

no, you can raid mythic in retail 6 hrs a week, you can’t even go scholo and strat in the same week with 6hrs in classic.

Except this isn’t true and you’re wrong. Classic doesn’t hold your hand as a player and allow you to get a group and enter a dungeon as easily as blinking. If you start a strat/scholo group and make the effort to gather 5 people together and trek out to EPL, you can finish both within a couple of hours.

Classic is as good or bad as the player.

Bro i raided mythic 6 hours a week for all of legion, i’m not 60 yet in classic so no, have a 35 and a 40. Classic is not about skill it’s about availability and the quantity of time put in.

I didn’t say it’s about skill; it’s about effort. If you’ve been leveling since august and your highest character is 40, then you’re bad leveling. Upon hitting 60, you only need a couple hours tops to get any single goal finished. Can you spam dungeons for 12 hours a day to farm as much as possible? No, but you don’t have to either.

Being bad at classic isn’t about skill, it’s about making an effort; like everyone has noticed, you don’t need a lot of skill to clear content, but you need to make an effort to coordinate with other human beings to enter that content. If you think it takes daily multi hour play sessions to keep up in classic, then you don’t understand classic; at best you’ll end up with a bunch of extra gold to spend.

Not bad at leveling lol, very high skill player, i have a life outside of work. You’re telling an athlete put more effort lmao. It’s not effort it’s time, time to grind, time to get zg, thorium brotherhood and argent dawn exalted(way worse than any cretail rep grind), time to sit in mc for 5 hours, that’s not dedication, it’s having idle hands. I played vanilla man, to succeed in classic all you need is time and that’s it.

That is so true…pretty much that vanilla is time need not effort…just last weekend i saw someone lfg for end game dungeon for 3 hours as i was farming for mobs. he changes from healer then lfg for tank and healer then lfg for tank same instance… pity the dude trying to lfg… lol

I mean, people make this allegation at Blizz but they’ve been pretty up-front about players not being expected to do all of the things and that they’re simply in there for player choice.

They even explicitly stated that certain things, like emissaries, are meant to be finished and not revisited. Yet, I still see some players logging in to do their 5000th emissary quest at 440 ilvl…

You’re too dense to reason with. You are bad at leveling because your highest is 40 and we’re 2 months into classic. Maybe you don’t hardly play, or maybe you’re an altoholic, but either way you’re bad at hitting the endgame.

For some reason, you conflate skill with effort, and imply the effort is never time investment as well. All pro athletes put forth an immense effort to improve, which is not strictly related to time investment. It very possible to spend thousands of hours not improving anything because you don’t recognize your mistakes. That’s where effort comes in to really analyze what you could be doing better to use your time more efficiently.

It’s not about skill, it’s about effort. If you make the proper effort, you can accomplish more in less time, that’s called efficiency. This is the most basic concept of video games in general.

what’s your /played? Mine is 4 days combined nerd.

23 total
8 days at 60

So you’re arguing that classic takes too long to play while also not playing classic.

press F to pay respects lol, that’s 1/3 of all time passed since release.

Yeah it’s hard to justify spending 5 hours to run BRD in a PuG for a piss poor chance at getting the loot you need, when you could spend that 5 hours to hang out with your friends on a Friday night.

I work every week day and go out every weekend. My average daily log in time since hitting 60 has been barely over an hour per day. You don’t know how to play efficiently because you prefer games like retail WoW, which play themselves for you.

23 days is almost a month man, you proved my argument unwittingly.
