I’m really looking forward to reaching the level bracket for BRD. I remember playing through it for the first time in BC, and it was something that felt truly epic. Hopefully that feeling of scope hasn’t changed.
Or you know have a guild find people around your level and say hey you guys want to do x dungeon at 7 server tomorrow? Bam everyone knows to be on and at x for 7 cutting the total time required in half. You can do every dungeon in the game in less than an hour except brd full clear.
If you are unable to do this than I’m sorry 99% of hobbies are out of reach for you. You might want to try the pick up and drop it instant nature of mobile gaming instead there are some good ones out there. I was really surprised by one I played for a year while waiting for classics return
No not really part of vanilla is the leveling, the journey through zones, and the interactions and fighting you do. What its not about, racing to level cap, and leveling through LFR or bg ques.
I dont even play some days. The fact you actually have to schedule doing all evening dungeons and raids is part of the game. Its supposed to be a big deal. Schedule accordingly like the rest of us.
Grew up playing MMOs. Yeah, they’re a time investment. They’re supposed to be.
Log in, queue for dungeon/raid finder is not an MMO. Neither is personal loot. It’s either for you or its not. Retail went down the toilet because it tried to cater to people that didn’t want to invest the time, which is why classic wow has exploded.
the amount of time you need to complete all dailies, weeklies, emissaries, caps, mythic+ and also 4 difficulties of raid because it can titanforge is ridiculous and also you forced to grind it to keep up with everyone
Yes it was. I was only started to work at my first big Job in big city, when Vanilla came out, but I still put A LOT of time into it. I even slept like 5-4 hours a day sometimes which negatively affected my health for the entire life. Now I’m playing on my vacation and for two weeks I only gained 15 levels. IT IS SO SLOW, but I’m kind of enjoying its slow pasing. Although when vacation ends I won’t be able to keep up with people and eventually drop it I think.
I like retail for visual stuff, I like in what it evolved in terms of graphics, but gameplay is obnoxious and absurd. It’s boring and become old after few weeks of playing. I’m waiting them to insert part of classic/vanilla into retail. Maybe I even return there then.
Titanforging
All classes feel the same
No communication except in mythic raids
pvp takes forever to kill someone
world quests trash
mythic+ trash
azurite = biggest pile of trash that wow has ever had
i find that funny cuz im brand new to wow… maybe like 3 months total sub time so far… and im 27 and i basically started in classic… so i believe that to the fullest
yes. classic mmos were designed for people who had massive timeslots to fill. current mmo design is for turbo casuals.
i quite enjoy ESO, after the tamriel one patch. before it was hell. powered 4 chars to vet 16. absolutely wretched grind, probably worse than 1-60 here.
they dumped it, and i could play anywhere, and everything was cleavable.
classic isnt designed like that so get good or get out of the way. enjoy your corporal rank
It’s made for people who want to invest minimal time but still feel like they achieve something by having accolades and success thrown at them. Vanilla, and Classic, were made to feel like a real world with everything taking time.
The difference is it’s very well known how to do everything. So there are no BRD groups. There are jail break groups, or arena farm groups, or emperor groups. You might see the occasional full BRD group.
