I notice no one is excited about mechagnomes

I don’t really have a stake in it, since I don’t have any interest in making one, but I do think it’s a little bit lame that the Horde got a completely new race while the Alliance got stuck with what basically amounts to regular gnomes with robotic appendages.

I think Mechagnomes would have been better to save as a character customization option for Gnomes like they’re doing for Farraki Trolls and Wildhammer Dwarves in Shadowlands. A new race would have been a better choice. Maybe the fish guys we worked with in Nazjatar.

well they are trying to use the existing skeletons of the faction races. vulpera are based on the goblin skeleton. the only two races left who’s skeletons havent been used for an AR, are worgen and undead.

I don’t main alliance. I would have been excited if they had shaman though.

I’d be interested if not for the instance requirements.

Vulpera are just an uglier goblin which are also very unpopular. Failing to see the issue.

Also amount of threads created is related to popularity of race how exactly? It only takes 1 excited individuAl to create a thread, so what…?

I’m more excited about Mechagnomes than I am about regular Gnomes.

Except I did notice I could make a pink-bearded male gnome, so maybe I need to re-think things.

Interesting, I wonder what AR could be made from them?

IKR, it’s strange.

for worgen there’s saberon and sethrak
for undead, i’ve no idea

I haven’t been excited for any AR. I’ve thought some were neat. I will probably level one or two come shadowlands but I’m tired of leveling in the current setup.

Gnomes aren’t for me. Mechsgnomes are no different. I’m only unlocking them for the sake of unlocking them.

They look like they wear diapers to be honest…

To me they seem like a reskin of what’s already in the game. People have long asked for gnome druids and pallys, for example, and blizurd is pooping out on the perfect place to add them.

Because mechagnomes are a joke race

The best part will be the names.

Sure, you can think up fun “fox names” too. The mecha/gnome combination ones will be really fun, though.

Tinygears
Minibyte

etc.

Can only speak for myself, but the requirement of completing a mythic dungeon as part of the unlock conditions meant I lost interest immediately.

Sure, that dungeon will go heroic in 8.3, but making any dungeon a condition of a race unlock is going a bit too far IMO.

And anyway… Vulpera! :wolf:

Of course I’m not, they aren’t mechagnomes, they are junker gnomes, Blizz is using the term mechagnome to make them sound better than they are. If they called them by their proper name, junker gnomes, do you think people would be as excited. When I hear the word mechagnome I think about the full on robognomes we saw throughout Northrend. Not some gnome that lives in a junkyard with scrap parts for limbs.

Well you never asked me but that’s most likely because im not on you’re server. So your wrong and here is why. Both me and my husband plain on making Mechagnomes and we are going to be leveling them together.

As i’ve said in other threads, while I think mechagnomes are super cute, I feel like they will be right up there with the popularity of Kul’Tir…Oh?

Ohhhhhhhhh. :frowning:

Nobody asked for Void elves yet they are the most played.

It’s all subjective really, the objective part is that Alliance has the higher quality Allied races.

What makes you think i am excited for Goblins with a fox head? I like Goblins, i did not ask for foxes.
