I no longer want to support or use curseforge or overwolf. Are there alternative methods of addon acquisition?

i was going to download cursforge, as WoWup doesn’t have it all.
tbh Addons have to exist. they tried to reduce addons in the new UI, didn’t work.
Microsoft should buy Overwolf, or get someone to create an official WoW Addon site.

Use WowInterface. It’s been around forever.

Use some form of adblock while on Curseforge. They don’t earn any money from you downloading addons if you don’t see any ads.

(…honestly, use Adblock in general, there’s way too many sketchy ads out there for malware disguised as something innocuous.)

I just pay the $2.99 monthly for ad free.

I have too many to bother with that. I like just clicking “Update All”.

I just log in every day (free account) and I get it all free, takes a while to get the points up to get it free but why not, have been signed up for a number of years and see no ads.
