Does anyone elses gear ALL come from being the only one who needed it? i could bet my life that if i need rolled for something with someone else that i am 100% losing it no matter what. There is no reality where i win a roll. Every single piece i have comes from quests or no one else rolling for an item so practically given. It is so frustrating I needed to vent sorry!!
RNG is a cruel mistress.

I’ve had rolls so bad…the other 4 dudes were going man, I’ve never seen RNG roll a player so low. What did you do to make the RNG gods hate you that much.
If /roll allowed for negative rolls, I am pretty sure I’d get those. A lot. lol

If it helps, PvP gear is very strong in Classic.

I never win rolls. Most of my warrios gear came from epdkp. The game just does not like people like you and i. It makes you appreciate the gear you do have.
Nope. I win almost every need roll. I also win a lot of greed rolls. However, I have a superstition, and that is that I should only ever roll need on something if I absolutely do need it, which is rare.
I won’t roll need on an epic BoE that I might sell on the AH, for example. I use old school etiquette that way.

in classic wow you are more likely to not get gear than you are to get gear. Thats how vanilla works and thats why there are added raids and dungeons that all have worse items because they’re good for people who haven’t gotten bis items yet.
Vanilla was never a Best-in-slot kind of game

the problem is all about “very few items drops” & “the item your class can use doesn’t even drop”
if you play with SR then for months you can put your 2sr on items that never drops
if it’s free roll, then you are rolling against +9players on 2~3items that might drop.
classic limited loots sucks and the RNG is awful

I consistently rolled 1’s Classic-Wrath it became a running gag. And I don’t just mean rolling low. I mean constantly and consistently rolling literal 1’s.
I mean epgp-dkp-gdkp might help with that. Though it is sr for 20man smaller raids. Trouble is most warrior bis aside from weapon variations is mostly the same items.
It does suck to some degree. Like not seeing tier 2 chest drop until halfway through AQ.
But also I don’t think its a problem to have big ticket chase items that you go back to old raids for. Its part of the classic appeal is that you gear up through doing older raids. Not having every bis item should kind of be the expectation in classic raiding, with those item slots supplemented by dungeons or pvp pieces.
