I never hated the alliance but now I do

A lot of these alliance folk see goblins as outright evil and feel you don’t need any excuse at all to murder them.

I really felt uncomfortable in all these starting alliance war campaign quest

No such thing.

I may have participated in making a plague bomb to take out alliance towns in some small, accidental manner.

The Alliance War Campaign made me manipulate an innocent Gorilla.

I hated that quest. I think I hated it most out of all the BfA quests; thankfully I only needed to do it once to get the Double Agent Achieve. :seedling:

It’s crazy how mean the Alliance is

Yeah but this thread is filled with alliance players saying everything they did in their war campaign is justified

Just the entire campaign made me feel terrible

I think there’s a lot to be said about the dichotomy of the Horde and the Alliance. The Horde kill and pillage because that’s just what they do. They are strong and brutish in more of a predator/prey sense.

Meanwhile the Alliance kills and pillages because it’s appointed itself judge, jury, and executioner, which only gets increasingly questionable the longer you think about it.

So much whataboutism in this thread. An Alliance player says they are uncomfortable with a quest line and all of the Alliance come out from their hidden corners like, “BUT WHAT ABOUT HORDE.”

No, a Horde main playing through the Alliance story on an alt reveals their pro-Horde biased take on the story.

The quests in question (incinerating the goblins and infiltrating the pleasure palace) are not nearly as egregious as the OP is attempting to make them sound.

The goblin miners are not “innocent”, at the point in time that it occurs, everyone knows what azerite is and how detrimental mining it is to the survival of the world. Yet they are still mining it. They also attacked the Dark Irons, you don’t get to attack someone and not expect retribution. It is also a cross faction war zone that the goblins entered with the full knowledge that they could be attacked by the opposite faction in during a war.

It has also already been pointed out that for the pleasure palace mission that you personally choose how to complete it, you can stealth it, you can using flying to avoid unnecessary combat, time the patrols, etc. Just because a Horde player on an alt decided to complete it as a murder hobo doesn’t mean jack squat about the morality of the Alliance.

that’s why everyone is using it. the player character and other NPCs.

Yeah just the Horde War Campaign i wasn’t constantly killing and assaulting non combative individuals.

If you dont collect is; Azerite elementals rise up and start destroying their surroundings.

They were mining on their own land and again… it was the goblin guards that attacked the Dark Irons; not the civilian miners.

Why is killing innocents increase the completion then…?

/facepalm
Do you really not get that the quests hammer home the knowledge that we stop everyone who is exploiting azerite by using the Heart (part of Azeroth and given to us by Azeroth for that specific purpose) to collect and return it? Anyone messing with azerite without the Heart is a target.

You aren’t in the Alliance side either, unless you as a player choose to.

No, it was Zandalari land, not goblin. The Horde players have long stated that “The Alliance attacked Zandalar before they were members of the Horde, which forced them to join the Horde.”(which of course ignores that the Zandalar were already giving the Horde significant assistance in attacking the Alliance), therefore the goblins were trespassing on Zandalar lands stealing azerite as the Zandalar were not members of the Horde yet.

Lol, maybe you haven’t played through getting the Dark Irons as an allied race yet, but the goblins in question invaded and pillaged BRD before being tracked to Zandalar where the goblins attack again. The goblin miners are not “civilians” as they are part of a hostile organization engaged in hostile activities, I don’t even think they can be classified as non-combatants as they are hostile and will attack Alliance on sight.

For a real world analogy, all Al’Queda members are terrorists, regardless of if they are a frontline fighter using a machine gun or the guy digging a new cave with a shovel to make another hideout. They joined the organization and contribute to its ability to harm others, so they now have a target on them.

So Horde players on alts can do as they usually do. Still your choice on how to complete it.

You kill archeologist in Voldun and you are required to murder the goblin miners.

it isnt a choice… you only get a choice in that one speicifc area for gallywix pressure palace.

They are support members actively assisting a hostile organization in causing harm in an active war zone, as such they are legitimate targets. Once again, they are not “innocent civilians”.

Cry me a river.

So with this logic Teldrassil burning was justified. The straws you will reach.

That is what Horde players have been claiming since they helped light the fire.

You can’t complain when your own argument is used against you without admitting to double standards and hypocrisy.

Which you basically just did, with “As Horde I don’t kill innocent civilians” but just admitted the burning of Teldrassil was the Horde killing innocent civilians to try and refute that the goblins weren’t innocent civilians.

And this is why I enjoy slaughtering you all. Don’t ever change.

Like Garrosh when he used Dark Shamans to bind elementals to his will so they could attack Northwatch, even when Baine and Kador Cloudsong were against it.

Like the ones the Horde killed during their attack on Brennadam, which wasn’t even part of the Alliance yet, they were neutral and the Horde attacked them yet.

What is up with the Horde killing innocents and not even standing against it, like when Sylvanas burned Teldrassil, or when she used the Plague on her own soldiers and then raised them like undead in Lordaeron Siege. Horde leaders didn’t even questioned that, they only stand against her when the s* was spilling on then.

The morality of the Alliance is grey at best. They are not the white knights; not even close.

Grong? The goblins were trying to kill his kind and he wanted to stop the horde. Then the horde killed him and raised him.
