I need to time this as its part of my KSM and it’s one of the 3 dungeons I have to time a +15 on in order to get the achievement.
Which classes would be best? Is Venthyr a must have? Any boss tips? Tips on the gauntlet run?
Well, first of all, dont try this week, or any tyrannical week. I personally would only bring dps and healer with hard immunity. This isn’t absolutely necessary, but it trivializes the second boss. My personal preference would be a frost mage, hunter and maybe a ret? Rogue might be able to cloak or whatever, idk.
Yeah, you just ice block, turtle or feign death the castigate instantly and it’s like it never happened.

Something that may help with this dungeon as well as all others is to get enchants for your gear. There are plenty of good ones on the auction house that don’t cost too much gold. Good luck!

Ever since the venthyr buff, we basically kill the 2nd boss on tyrannical in under 30 seconds. With pride and a 10 stack it’s crazy how fast he falls over. Basically takes the hardest boss in the dungeon and makes it faceroll.
SD isn’t bad once you do it enough times, the timer is one of the most forgiving ones in SL.

I actually think SD is easier on tyrannical, even before the nerfs. There’s just never a “good” week to do it. I suspect that it will always be my lowest timed dungeon lol. It’s not particularly fun either imo.
On fort weeks, the trash can be a real problem. If you’re going for time this week, you can’t waste a lust/pride on the first 2 bosses. If you can get passed that point without wiping, your odds of timing it go way up. Wipes are a bit more forgiving after that point.

Make sure you have Venthyr this week, take super strong ST specs and if you can preferably a Kyrian or Dwarf (dark iron too) tank.

5% healing and DPS buff for each mob killed within 40 yards within 20 seconds of activation for 15 seconds after it’s done channeling.
Effectively it’s like having mini pridefuls

Personally I’d run what I said earlier for a tank…and then for DPS a firemage, boomkin, outlaw rogue or a DH with a Venthyr paladin or Shammy for a healer…maybe a disc priest as well but I think they’re swapping to NF more now. The DH if pure dps and not tanking much will also either be NF or Venthyr as well.
Timed mine with a Kyrian Paladin, a Venthyr Disc Prist, 3 NFs hunter, warlock, and myself 2 weeks ago. It was a bit tight with 49 seconds left but we also had bolstering which cost us some time.

That’s good advice. I feel like fire mage is pretty solid in this dungeon, even with a pug. There are some decent sized pulls and priority damage on adds is really useful.
You queue up your +15… and wait for all the 1500+ players to join to farm something.
This was my last dungeon as well for KSM. Did it a few weeks ago on tyrannical too. VDH tank, holy priest healer, then a warlock, rogue, and myself an ele shaman.

It’s a newbie trap. It’s nice if you have it but it’s not a big loss if you don’t.
Out of all the covenant perks I think only the gargoyles (halls) and the skip/checkpoints (mists) can considerably impact the outcome.
screw torvald in particular. Everything else in there is fine but if you have non bursty classes you’re gonna have a bad time. ADD Swap is a MUST OR YOU WILL DIE

Double melee is never a good idea but gl.
This week may be the worst week to do it. It’s basically impossible to drop necrotic stacks in the gauntlet, unless you’re kyrian I guess.
Unless they patched that without me knowing, but just as a general thing mostly unrelated to this thread: can non-elite mobs please not be affected by affixes?! There’s absolutely zero reason that every single slime in PF should drop a spiteful, or apply bursting, or why the non-elite dogs should apply stacks of necrotic.
