I want to do current expansion raids but when I enter queue for one in lfg i wait hours and nothing happens and then when I go to group finder everyone is just doing nyolotha what do I do where can I find people to do raids.
Try watching for mount runs and achievement runs in trade chat. People always want titles and mounts.
If you’re lucky you can find a group just running Mythic Jaina vs. mount selling.
But yeah old raid gear is so far below Nya gear the LFRs and normal group finder get pretty dead. Been that way every xpac since LFR came in though.
make a tank or healer.
You’re going to have to work on your ilvl first, people will just insta decline you at 80 ilvl. You can do LFR, World Quests, Horrific Visions or regular Mythic Dungeons to gain some easy ilvl. Raid Finder gives 95 ilvl, Mythic Dungeons give 85 ilvl (Not Mythic+)
Once you’re high enough you’ll have to use LFG (Premade Groups) to find groups, it’ll be hard to find any groups doing Uldir/Eternal Palace but Battle for Dazar’Alor has people running it for the Mythic Mount quite often. These groups always ask for you to be higher ilvl than the raid itself for smooth runs, just checking some groups I saw had the minimum ilvl at 100.
You’re going to have a much easier time getting into Ny’Alotha raids as it’s the most current and populated raid. You’ll still have to work on your ilvl and I would suggest starting out with Normal Ny’alotha. You can watch some quick guides on youtube for the bosses so you don’t feel lost dealing with boss mechanics.
The hardest part of getting into raid pugs is going to be your ilvl, it’s not that raid leaders are picky it’s that there are other players also applying to join that LFG and if they’re better geared they will get invited instead. It may seem tedious at first but after working on your gear in other content getting into LFG groups will be significantly easier, there are also 8.3 patch guides on gearing you can use to make the process quicker.
LFG Premade Groups lets you search for raids by typing them in the search bar, it’ll autofill the rest for you when typing the first few letters. Make sure you have the correct difficulty of raid in the search bar, it will have (Normal) (Heroic) (Mythic) at the end of the name. You can then start applying to groups, when mousing over these groups it’ll have any bosses they already killed listed.
