The only time I have had a shield drop for me was in a loot box from the weekly. A shaman once felt bad for me and gave me the shield that dropped. How can I help WOW by tanking if I never get a shield to drop? Maybe this next dungeon will be the one.

Had the same problem on many alts. Seems all off-hand items, even, ridiculously, shields, are hard to come by.

It worked! Zora’s Ward dropped from time walking! It has been years since I last used this shield from Cata.

Pray being the key word here.
Took me 3 weeks of grinding dungeons to get a damn shield to drop. And still i had to wait for a weapon higher than 370 for prot spec. Why do the world quests not follow your loot spec?
I was lucky this week and got a 395 sword from timewalking thankfully. Of course the stats werent what i’d like, but i guess ill take what i can get

Well, you’re in fury spec. You’ll be waiting a long time for a shield unless you set your loot spec to prot.
My loot spec was prot.
When I am not getting cloaks or boots I get a lot of shields from the WFs and invasion quests.
Might try that. Just hope for a 2 hander. Maybe it will trick them into giving you a shield.
I had a hard time with trinkets, then today i did timewalking and my chest gave me Azshara’s trinket. ><
I managed both mainhand and offhand in the same run, but i feel for you. Needing two parts sucks.
Might i suggest raiding or M+. Since regular mythics are on a lock out those are your best bet,
Buy one from the PvP vendor.
I guess that’s why they removed him?
Did you do the starting quests for Naz? Cause you can get a shield from those.
So far, I’ve found that your best chance to get a shield is from a “weapons” cache. Especially when you really want the weapon.

I had a mace drop off Nefarion about 3 weeks into the tier. I didn’t get another non quest weapon until Tsulong one week before release of the next raid.
I got a question here … how many Mythic + Dungeons did you actually run? According to the Armory, you did clear Uldir Normal, but seemingly didn’t play in Season 2 … because all you did in Battle for Drazar’alor is 3 LFR bosses. You didn’t do anything in the Eternal Palace either.
I can only see a +6 Atal’Dazar run and a +5 Motherloade!! … both can drop a Shield. But you not always get a item in a M+ run, also since the loot you do get is one item out of the Lootlist of all the bosses in there.
The Weekly Cache is even worse, that Lootlist is all items that can drop in all dungeons …
So i would appreciate if you enlighten me with your story. Maybe you played another Character in whole Season 1 and Season 2? A Paladin maybe? Maybe on Alliance side a Paladin or Warrior Tank? … i can’t see that out of this post here.
And with this it looks like a Troll post, no offense.
That said, i got one shield out of the Weekly Cache in whole of Season 2 on my Paladin, i always set it to Protection Loot Specc.
I find it ridiculous that all you can do is play one loot specc, and even then have trouble getting the loot you need, not talking about trying to also run DPS as 2nd Specialisation.
