The one I miss most is Cone of Cold.
My favorite method of AOE as an arcane mage was to spam Arcane Explosion on a group of mobs while keeping them mostly snared with Cone of Cold.
It was fun, exciting and dangerous. You had to keep the target group further away than 5 yards but closer than 10 yards while AOEing. Also, since CoC’s CD was longer than the snare duration there was a couple second period where the group was unsnared.

but every spec has frostbolt, fire blast and arcane explosion… “class fantasy”… not.
We need to be able to pick our bombs again and have all the different spells but have certain ones for each spec. I miss that.

They used to be good spells. Fire Blast damage in Arcane and Frost specs should be way higher. Frostbolt is fine. Arcane Explosion has its uses.
Living bomb was prob the most satisfying spell there has been for fire before they capped and nerfed it. Meow it’s a meme joke spell. I missed seeing the numbers fly.
