BFD was literally 50x better/more fun than Gnomer. So I can’t say you are wrong.
Phase 1 pvp, with the exception of the very beginning, was a lot better too.
This could very well be the case 3 weeks from now.
I want to be excited about p2 but so far the overall class design is kinda bad tbh

For one, it seems kind of obvious the only healer class any of the devs actually play is disc priest and the rest they have no clue what they’re doing with
Melee hunter is a massive jank spec that gibs you if you can actually touch you so melee hate it but it’s just comical to face as something like a mage.
Spriest and Boomie instant cast hell at the start of phase…Buffing the healer class dps specs and making them strong while keeping healer specs meh and boring. Most healer slots on almost every healer get filled with DPS runes because the healer runes are so bad or straight up non existent so now we have a healer shortage
Armor on bosses makes warrior and rogue tanks significantly weaker and harder to build threat
Oh yeah and the bonus stamina in pvp but no bonus from food in bgs is kind of annoying too
Most of the problems stem from poor class design choices tbh
Hopefully do a rune slots rework pass at some point among other things

I don’t. I hated playing with a gimp kit. I got to strictly raid logging really quick. Phase 2, I have already done much much more.

The raid is way more fun, and with the HP increase in pvp it hinestly feels more balanced to me.
No real complaints other than maybe recipe costs
They heard peoples cries and made melee mid. They made hunters the best melee class as a meme/middle finger to rogues(toxic revenger really? lmao)/wars/feral druids. Burst meta is lame, people are mad about stv win traders but those same people are in firemage boomy spell cleave pvp groups lolling their way to 1500-2000 coins per event. The event as a melee is garbage. It’s a completely unbalanced mess, even worse than phase 1, the balancing will only get more challenging as the level cap increases, so I see the trend of it being a mess continuing. Still its what we kind of signed up for I guess.
id enjoy p2 more if i didnt have to spend countless hours farming gold
So if they opened up a permanent phase 1 server, would you create a character there?
Yeah I’m having trouble with motivation for phase two. I knew i was gonna struggle with gnomer, not the mechanics, the atmosphere. I hate the way the place looks and feels. Never liked it. The gnomer mech aesthetic isn’t my thing.
Phase 3 will only be 40-50 right?
Can Blizz just give us 40-60 and give us the Runes later?
Yeah, they needed to add like a new dungeon or two in between. To be honest with the clues they gave, I was half excepting a new scarlet monastery raid for phase 2. My own fault getting hopes up. Probs gonna just be a 60 thing for sm raid.
Yes, I miss having a raid that was less than an hour and PUG friendly, I never enjoyed having to dedicate an entire evening to spend hours in a raid.
P2 is great, there are things I would love to see different in P3 though.
Classes actually feel more complete, you have more key talents so things just feel better.
Gnomer is infinitely better then bfd. BFD was a snoozefest and you could mostly ignore mechanics, Gnomer actualy requires more than 2 brain cells. Gnomer feels more like a raid and less like a slightly buffed dungeon.
PVP needs work not gunna try to sugarcoat that.
I would like to see more interesting runes. Give us more active runes that change or make the dps rotations more interesting. Mono passive runes is boring. Or passives that change playstyle.
Boring passive rune- 10% more damage when you crit
Interesting passive rune- when you conflagrate gain 30% spell haste.
Also everything in P2 was able to be completed way to fast.
Most people had all their STV pvp items in less than a week. No more incentive to do that
The crafted items just required gold, and almost nothing else. Please remove the gold sink from those items and put it behind questlines that take you all over the world and require group or guild effort.
Put in other events or questlines that feel epic and reward epic items that take time and effort.
These phases need to last us a long time, give us reasons to do anything besides raidlog after week 2.
Well they probably have the same 4 dudes doing sod and retail, so I’m sure they funnel 99% of their time into retail, pick a couple cool theories from there, and slap it onto classic
