I dunno, there’s something to it. it’s way more memorable than the current music we have now. Mop’s music felt more fun to listen and impactful too.
here a couple of ones that i time stamped.

I think we all probably have a favored music style that we miss.
Personally I wish we got more ambient sorts of tracks, like we had in Vanilla — they’re great for setting the mood for a zone and they don’t get grating after playing a few times like some of the newer more thematic tracks.
TBC music was pretty great too IMO, striking a nice balance between ambient and thematic. Especially Eversong/Ghostlands… the music is easily one of my favorite parts of visiting those zones.
Yeah exactly, Musics need that personality that make them special to hear. The blood elves music in general is like depressing because of their history. The new musics feel too generic for me.
Whoever wrote the blood elf stuff had a thing for viols and cellos.
Personally, the last time I was really struck by the music was this piano part:
The piano represents like the dark past of the zone, it makes it kinda mysterious/scary. It makes you wonder what happened in this zone because it feels depressive in a good way.
Like that type of music is what we need
The Valley of the Four Winds music reminds me of the music in the Geisha or Crouching Tiger films.
