I was thinking about running a few dungeons with Serenity just to see how it feels. I think I understand the priorities in single target, but for AOE is it really just FoF -> SCK spam?
Do any of you run Serenity?
Not really. For WW monks it’s whirling dragon punch for both pve and pvp. Strong single target damage and strong aoe damage. I guess if you stacked up serenity with Xuen that might form a nice upfront burst damage scenario. However for sustained damage you want whirling dragon punch.

I run it for flag carrying in PvP. Useful for its extra healing and superior burst damage for fast 1v1s when defending (or attacking) flag.
But honestly, SEF is just straight up better in all other situations. PvP AND PvE. Serenity’s damage bonus was gutted at the beginning of BfA and never really recovered from it. Blizz also forgot about the ability in Shadowlands and gave even bigger bonuses to using SEF through soulbinds.
I absolutely dislike SEF and will keep using Serenity anyways (for all kinds of play) but it would be nice to have some balance.
