Im new to the game. I got my first subscribtion for classic wow on Tuesday and have over 20 hours on my first character. The problem is that I live in the eastern time zone. If I dont want to stay up until 3 am to raid if I ever get to that point will I need to start over on an eastern server?
It’s possible you’ll find a guild that fits your schedule on a west coast server, but you’ll likely have difficulty finding groups until you do.
If it was me, I’d cut my losses and re-roll now but ymmv. It’s a shame they won’t announce when paid transfers will be available so people like you can plan accordingly.
