In the 80’s as a kid we used Rad, Awesome, Face, Scratch, Moded (mode-d), totally etc. Every generation has their words. I am Generation X fyi.

my biggest fear in life is when i become older i become bitter to the new world. Im going to make a big effort not to turn out like most. times change and its ok if im not “in it” anymore. Im already seeing some of my friends who work as teachers start there decent and forget that they too where once kids with slang and old fashion memes that confused there teachers. People expect to be in there prime and “In” the times for way longer than is actually possible.

Im currenty only 26 but i can feel it start. memes popping out of no where that everyone young knows but gets me a tad latter. new slang ive never heard of. once i hit my 30s i fully expect to be disconnected completely with whats “In”. i accept the embrace of the void with happiness and not bitterness. i will learn from the younglings and i wont be bitter or angry about it.

New generations always surpass the older. while im still not done contributing i know the future will be bright with innovation and social reform.

As an old man, I have no problem with cringe or try hard.

Cringe because some things are so horribly bad they cause a visceral reaction, I just don’t know a better word for it.

Try hard is great because it calls out people who just don’t understand balance. It also calls out their insecurities that are so bad they have to go to extremes just to show others they are “good”. If they had confidence in themselves they wouldn’t need to do that.

SJW and triggered are usually pretty goofy because most often they are used by people with no real retorts to anything and hope the buzzwords get them out of the fight

(real SJW’s are annoying of course but I am talking those that identify anyone they disagree with as one)

Language evolves, dog.

Get with it.

Pretty cringe, fam.

I don’t consider some words to be an evolution and instead takes language in the opposite direction. But it’s just one of those things for me I guess. I think I’m one of those “get off my lawn!” sort of people.

Says a blood elf paladin… I think I threw up in my mouth a little.

I remember saying “tight” in 19 aught 85.

That is pretty sick, you wack kids.

I like things like seeing the checkered Vans, which I wore back then, come back.

Today’s music is also exactly the same. Don’t you people want to have your own, new things? Jeez!

No, why do you care about this even a little bit?

I am 18 years old. I. Hate. Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

Makes me think of Fortnite and people vaping.
