I make up a new talent for hunter: Ranger

Hunter Talent: Ranger

Key Talents

Sonatas
  • Arcane Arrow – Replaces Arcane Shot, deals Arcane damage and applies Arcane Stasis.
  • Seeking Arrow – Replaces Steady Shot, deals Arcane damage that never misses and has a 25% chance to double its critical rate. Applies Arcane Stasis.
  • Guide Arrow – Fires 6 arrows in front of the character. If multiple enemies are in the area, the arrows will split among them. Each arrow has a 50% chance to pierce through the target and ricochet up to 3 times. Cooldown: 20 sec. Applies Arcane Stasis.

Arcane Stasis: Stores 15% of the damage dealt and slows the target by 1% per stack. At 25 stacks, it explodes, dealing Arcane damage to nearby enemies within 5 yards.

Symphony
  • Frost Arrow – Replaces Arcane Shot, deals Frost damage and slows the target. Applies Frostbite.
  • Thorns Arrow – Replaces Steady Shot, deals Nature damage and applies Holoparasite. Can be used on friendly targets to heal them and grant Blossom.
  • Wind Arrow – Fires an ultrasonic arrow that generates shockwaves and wind blades along its path. The arrow pierces through enemies in its direct path, dealing Physical damage and causing Bleeding. Enemies in the conical area of effect receive the Airflow debuff.

Debuffs:

  • Frostbite – Reduces target’s movement speed by 10% for X seconds.
  • Holoparasite – Deals damage over time. Heals the player for 50% of the damage dealt.
  • Airflow – Can cause knockdown or pushback.

Debuff Interactions:

  • Frostbite + Airflow = Flash Freeze: Freezes the target for 5 seconds, absorbing X damage. When broken, it deals Physical damage.
  • Frostbite + Holoparasite = Rotten Vein: Healing effects on the player turn into damage on the enemy. Has a 25% chance to trigger Last Blossom, converting the damage back into healing for the player and 4 nearby allies.
  • Airflow + Holoparasite = Pollen Spread: Doubles Holoparasite’s damage and allows it to bounce between enemies up to 4 times. Each bounce creates a Sweet Pollen healing zone that lasts for 10 sec. (Sweet Pollen: Heals X HP 3 times for allies who step into it.)

Survival of the Fittest

Ranger can now equip a Warblade, Axe, or Sword as a secondary weapon and gains the ability to parry. Activates Minor Scale.

Minor Scale (Passive, active when engaging in close-range combat)
  • Fallen Leaves – Replaces Arcane Shot, deals Physical damage and randomly applies a debuff from Sonatas or Symphony.
  • Go with the Flow – Replaces Steady Shot, increases parry and dodge while channeling.
  • Gone with the Wind – Replaces Guide Arrow, throws the melee weapon, dealing Physical damage and knocking the enemy back. The Ranger leaps backward, retrieving the weapon upon landing and inflicting Bleeding.

Echo of Trees

Rangers with Echo of Trees can now interact with each other’s debuffs:

  • Flash Freeze can detonate Arcane Stasis.
  • Rotten Vein ticks contribute to Arcane Stasis damage.
  • Pollen Spread copies Arcane Stasis stacks to the next target, reducing one stack per bounce.

Medic’s First Aid Kit

Places a First Aid Kit on the ground for up to 15 minutes. (Casting time: 3 sec. Must be out of combat.)

  • Players can pick up First Aid Kits from the box, storing up to 5 kits per player (max 30 in the box).
  • Box disappears when empty. Only usable by Rangers.

Effects:

  • Consuming a First Aid Kit restores 75% HP over 5 sec. (Usable while moving, cannot be interrupted except by stun.)
  • Master of First Aid: Can now use First Aid Kit on allies.
  • Blessing of Homeland: First Aid Kit now heals over time (HoT), restoring 75% HP over 8 sec.

Mocking Jay

Replaces Flare. Summons a magical bird that automatically detects and reveals invisible enemies within 30 yards, forcing them out of stealth. The bird sings and dances atop the revealed enemy.

  • Flock of Birds: Reduces Mocking Jay’s cooldown.

Wild Heart

Rangers can no longer summon pets. Instead, they receive Aspect Stances (formerly passive pet buffs) with double the effect.

  • Pack Leader: Aspect Stances now function as Aspect Auras, affecting all friendly targets within 40 yards. (without double the effects)
  • One-Man Army: Rangers gain all three pet passive buffs with a 30% increase in effectiveness.

In the Same Boat

All Rangers with this talent share damage taken within 40 yards, including their pets.

Trap Launcher

Traps are now cast directly on the target.

Escape Master

Leaves behind a dummy with ⅓ of the player’s HP and activates Camouflage. Shares cooldown with Feign Death.

First Blood

Ranger’s attacks have a chance to activate Bloodbath, increasing their highest secondary stat for 5 sec.

  • The Expendables: First Blood now affects all party members, granting a random secondary stat for 3 sec. (party members only even in raid)

No One Dies on Me

Battle resurrection.

Mastery: Between Sun and Moon

  • Reduces AoE damage taken when no enemies are within 10 yards.
  • Increases attack power based on HP percentage (lower HP = higher damage).
  • If Survival of the Fittest is active, increases parry chance when enemies are in close range.

Hunter talent :True Focus 20 min cd.
Spells and abilities do not consume focus for next 40 sec and have reduced cast time by 40%,all damage output increased by 50% (250% in PVP, also any furry race that gets hit by hunter dies and is unable to be resurrected for next 1 hour) .
While True Focus is active hunter cannot be effected by crowd control and hunters attack range is increased to 150 yards .

I know it is not sunday yet i am just getting head start.

well, as long as you happy, if u really want my hunter, she is maskmanship at raid/dungeon, but have to be beast mastery when doing ow/dev
and the ranger was mix with high elves ranger discript and NE huntress
but i guess you are very upset with my design, so i suggest you should read some formal topics insted of my fan fantasy make up
wish you a nice day and Elune adore

Hm. Steady Shot, for MM, is one of only two ways we recover focus (the other is Rapid Fire, which is already one of our hardest-hitting DPS button with a 20-second CD).

Your proposal for talents that replaces Steady Shot doesn’t say anything about focus recovery. That leaves MM with only Rapid Fire — which, again, has a 20-second CD and is used as a DPS spell that happens to have the side-effect of focus recovery.

Not upset. Just pointing it out as incompatible with the current game

its basically a prototype idea and focus on talent feature. i also try to reduce buttom and buttoms adjustment on bar, that very troubles me everytime i do talent adjustment…
and its also have no numbers for damage, i need help and lot of lots tests to do the balance or improvement, that… i dont have the environment and no time to do that, after all, im not Bz staff or numerical planner
for the focus point you mention, it probably will rely on top focus recovery of the talents, not like the way hunters do now or maybe design a focus point mechanism between the debuff interact or, simply a focus point pop CD skill, i prefer just simply increast focus point recover speed or decrease skill focus point need; player will headache for the debuff management and the timing for healing assist and mobs disturb; dont warry about no skills to spam, hit and run/kitting is the core of ranger (its why both of the core mechanism have slow)
also, the Ranger debuff interact might be nightmare for programer LOL
by the way, yes, mocking jay is for the god damn rogue

Reducing buttons? Hm. As long as that’s purely optional. I like the amount of buttons we have right now — if anything, I’m actually OK with adding a couple more.

I hated the 2/3/4-button playstyle that most classes had in Legion. It was boring.

As for focus… it sounds like you’re thinking of the Rogue and Feral Druid’s passive energy regeneration. Am I wrong in thinking that?

im not figure out clearly yet, but yeah, liek rogue or feral is a way out, and easy for must player, or maybe like DK’s rune, as i said, its just a prototype feature
its ok to the ranger i design for little bit less buttom, after all, its not only 3 buttoms to hit, traps are part of the attack too, and maybe have to assist healing too lol Sonata is more for attacking and symphony is for CC and party assist, i really love to see the mess that echo of trees make…

This sounds awful. Permanent 40 yards spirit link? How did you even come up with that?

I like the dummy camouflage idea but most of the rest sounds like you wrote it after one too many drinks.

only works when other rangers have that talent too, also for maximise it, rangers might need to give up the raid buff and summon pets
besides… you dont need to spend your talent point on it if you dont need it, and this is feature, but balancing, if u think that is op, simple add cds on it may soft part of it, and trust me, rangers may still dies quick even with this talent in raid, without healer’s help
rangers are more for interruption, assist and survibility
and nope, its not after drink, its base on lore of HE rangers and NE huntress from W3

This is eerily similar to the ad I’ve seen of CoA. Obviously I can’t link it, but the Google is a friend of ours.

How does a Hunter do this exactly? Nature magic? Or a certain “death poison”? There could be a launchable poison that stops death, but at the cost of greatly reduced received healing or a sprez-style health and damage reduction for a short time, for balancing.
