Horrible Q&A. Only like 2 good questions. For some reason I’m always hopeful for the next Q&A but Ion disappoints me everytime. These Q&A’s show how they think, and it shows they don’t care about the game, just look at their body language, it’s all there.
This game could easily have 5-8 million subs if they actually listened and put effort in and make the game fun. Anyways ima go screw off and do something other than play this garbage game for today.
When I come back to check wows website or wowhead, I hope there’s news of retail just shutting down and that legacy servers of everything from BC to MOP being worked on.
Current WoW is beyond saving with the people at Blizzard right now. We’ll never have that legendary past crew from before ever again that actually made this game great.

What did you need them to talk about, Jaquestiney? I felt like it was very light as well.
Really would appreciate people not saying garbage like this. If you don’t like the game and don’t want to play it, fine. You do you. Don’t hope that something others might be enjoying gets shut down entirely.

I don’t get why people expect these massive dumps of information from a q&a. I can’t think of a blizzard q&a that included a major announcement or direction shift or anything like that.
A q&a is basically a confirmation something is being worked on or that they are aware of something.
Major announcements like allied races (more than confirming they are working on them), legacy servers, detailed patch info, class balance details, etc… Are done at larger venues like blizzcon.
The q&a was exactly what I expected, nothing more nothing less.

Because this game is almost 15 years old. People don’t want to go to another mmo. They want what they’re familiar with and deal with change poorly.
Some don’t like new systems being thrown into our faces, only to have another new system come around the next expansion.
The current version of the game doesn’t draw me in. I barely log in anymore. But the other MMOs aren’t WoW. I’ve played WoW for so long that I don’t even play MMOs, I play WoW.
I honestly just like playing for the story. It’s an interactive tv show for me at this point.

They are releasing classic sometime this summer. I just don’t understand if someone dislikes the current WOW they can just switch to classic? It seems to me they are giving people the best of both worlds.

Classic WoW was a terrible game. Blizzard didn’t get it right until Burning Crusade.

But I’ll still check in to see where the heroes of the horde and alliance are in the story.

I am rarely disappointed in the Q&A. I go in with the expectation that they won’t actually address any of the important issues in the game. I am never disappointed with this expectation.

OP, you do know that these questions being answered are questions that are being asked by players right? It might not be the questions that you personally wanted to see answered, but they are questions that were being asked by other players.

TBH, I expect that many who choose to do this (but not all), will either quit entirely shortly after, or return to retail once they realize just how much time and work everything in Classic requires.

Yet people begged Blizzard to make it happen and also went to private servers to play Classic.
The loaded softball questions have come to be expected from Ion. But his answers and doublespeak non answers just show how out of touch activision is to the playerbase.

With that mindset, you are one of those people who like to hear themselves talk.
The QAs are regurgitated information that anyone could find with a few keywords.
The point is, they never get to the nitty gritty, which is why people applaud Ion’s lawyer background.
That is why people are upset. They aren’t expecting MEGA NEWS just REAL answers with substance, which is never the case. Look at last QA, the one before, etc.

Call me crazy but I am actually enjoying myself in WoW right now. I don’t want it to get shut down and neither should you Jaquestiney! There are ppl who still enjoy themselves in this game.

I think a good chunk started back then. I’ll be glad to have more than 5 buttons to press.
Also it’s better to spend a month getting to max level then a month grinding the same artifact power. At least to me.
Also people liking the current version is totally fine. I like the story. And the world quests are really cool too.
