For me it’s the early game music. What captures you?
The vibrant colors, large world, cartoonish looking characters/graphic’s, along with all the things to do in the game. Best out there imho!
The wide variety of races and how it lets itself be silly at times.
Race wise a lot a MMOs are just slightly different humans and that’s boring to me (I know, a bit ironic coming from a KT but the druid forms are just so awesome! I adore the skull aesthetic!) WoW has so much variety along with still being currently updated plus it isn’t afraid to joke around.
The stylization is also fun, it is a bit toony but at the same time it’d not afraid to be gritty and the like, a little less monotone than other more perfect worlds.
i’m attached to my character so, that’s what keeps me captured
i also like that there’s dinosaurs in this game
I really love yda and lalas.
The music is amazing, I really like the latest updates to the models as well. For me, Ardenweald is easily the most beautiful area in the game and I like to sometimes just sit by the water and spend an hour fishing while listening to the music and taking the scenery in. Combine the environment with an inky black potion, and it really is stunning.
Music in WOTLK, TBC, Vanilla especially sticks out for me personally. Even Pandaria is starting to trigger the same nostalgia for me as the early content. Proably due to fond memories.

Feels hilarious knowing how Zeus felt walking amongst mortals.
lmao.
I love all the effort that the WoW team puts in. They go that extra mile to listen to players. Throughout the years, they’ve had to keep masses of players happy, often times players who have conflicting opinions about what they want and what they like.
We wanted transmog, we got it. We wanted certain mounts, we got them. We wanted this, we got it. We wanted that, we also got it.
I also love that they pay attention to detail. When you’re out in the world, look at all the different types of mailboxes, their design.
Then you have things like those sheer, silky fabrics in Heart of The Forest… or that really pretty Venthyr / Revendreth Blood Mirror Door / Gate portal. It looks like candy! ^u^
All in all though, the Blizz team in general has put so much effort into everything, from design to technical aspects to coding and to providing the best service and general gaming experience for us all and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Yes dood, 10 char
I’d say I’m not captured.
Classic and TBC offer great world experience.
Retail offers great raid/pvp/m+ content.
But neither offers a full experience I’m looking for, and I don’t wanna play both.
Soundtrack and memories
I was sitting in my garrison flipping through the music box thinking I had to find out what others thought. It grasps me
Mists of Pandaria soundtrack is a 10/10 in my opinion.
