Well, I’ve been playing other games with two friends - games like PoE2, Sons of the Forest, Baldur’s Gate 3, Dota 2, and even New World.
I just don’t feel like playing WoW anymore, and my reasons is quite childish (in m.o.): everything I feel the game needs either doesn’t happen or takes way too long …
Look, I still strongly hold my opinions that the game needs a variety of new races that stray from the bipedal concept, like gnolls/ogres (ok, bipedal), centaurs, nagas… That’s my biggest “complaing” about the game not having this yet. What comes below is less important to me, but together, they form a pretty big reason for my distancing from the game.
More talent variations, allowing shamans to truly tank, unholy DKs to use dual-wield, battle mages to exist, etc.
I still think player housing should have multiple location options across all Azeroth maps, bringing unique perks like bosses, dungeons, caves, or special delves exclusive to those living in specific regions. It could include farming certain sets, unique quests, etc. Additionally, it should have a broad customization system, where you design even the exterior of your home and randomly see other houses as you fly around.
The game needs a graphics revamp and better processing support.
Finally, extensive PvP balancing.
I keep thinking about all this, especially the race issue, and… I just can’t bring myself to feel excited about returning to the game.
This season, I barely reached 1800 with my characters, barely did anything… I don’t know, I’ve lost the drive to play.
MAYBE, MAYBEEEEE if it came to Game Pass, I’d feel like coming back since it would bring more friends to play. But… I don’t know… I think that’s pretty impossible, honestly.
I mean, BG3 and PoE2 are both master class games compared to retail which is basically an old master class game being bled to death for MTX and whaling by corporate greed while the Warcraft IP rots.
Even with retail peaking and being in a really good spot rn, it’s still mid.
I said that I still think… in other words, I still believe, I still hold the opinion that it should be this way…i was arguing in other topics about this.
Adding shaman tanks won’t change anything. Maybe briefly, but after a bit people will realize how much tanking for PUGs and the LFD sucks and go back to their DPS specs.
We’ve tried this back in Vanilla with hybrid specs, this resulted in players constantly and consistently finding new ways to break the game which is why we have a much more simplified system now.
This would be quite difficult to accomplish, and having a home with updated models and textures in areas that haven’t been touched since their related expansions would be visually jarring.
Agreed, but WoW has a look to it that it needs to keep, we can’t just push for hyperealism.
This, is unfortunately a pipedream. No matter how good the balancing team is (Which is the same team as the developers since Blizzard is severely understaffed.) there will always be a class/spec that feels left out and neglected.
Agreed. The lazy remodels known as Allied Races are neat n all but they shoulda been skins for the existing races they were modeled after.
Would be cool. Also letting Blood DK be DPS again would be nice.
We have zero idea what housing will be like.
If they’d correctly copy (i say “correctly” cuz they attempted FFXIV’s crafting but failed at it) FFXIV’s PvP, then things would be smoove (or smoovererer anyway).
Beginning to smell a lot like player housing will tie to player power. Which I want kept out under any circumstances.
We already have that. This isn’t Classic.
Never balanced, never will be. If you want more concrete balance to WoW PvP, wait for Plunderstorm or play a different game. Otherwise CC will continue to exist and be very lame.
