I just started leveling the Marksmanship Hunter for the first time a few days ago.
I should have tried this class out a long time ago it’s amazing.
does anyone else like this class?

Yes, Marksmanship is my favorite Hunter spec.
…I’m not actually certain I’ve ever played a different one.

It’s a fun spec but it’s lack of survivability has always made it hard to play for me. Although I hear they are working on that in TWW.

I love that spec most out of any spec in the game.
Very hard to enjoy in M+ though, you just watch yourself slowly dying on bosses with nothing left to save yourself when the healer doesn’t babysit heal you. And lust being tied to a pet for a spec that doesn’t use pets is stupid. And not easy to group up on a non meta DPS.

I do…but I just love BM more…the two pets thing is just too good to pass up. Fast paced. great toolkit.
I will swap to MM if I think we have a tank who’s gonna be ‘that’ sort who blames the hunter for HIS mistakes though.
lol…actually was in MM a long while ago. Parked my pet before we even ported into the dungeon, so petless.
Tank over pulls and starts screeching about huntards.
I tell him my pet was never out lol…he didnt say a word the rest of the run, lol

It’s very smooth and I am a strong advocate that all filler spells should be castable on the move.
Fireball. Frost Bolt. Drain Soul. You name it. It’s just a better experience.
I just wish MM had a little bit more decision making / build up. But if I had to on the spot pick 1 spec to play for the rest of WoW… it would probably edge out Affliction Warlock for me and be my choice.

Lone Wolf is by far the best option for M+ but you still have to summon pets to do your most important M+ utility (lust).
I prefer never calling a pet, ruins the sniper fantasy for me to have a slobbering animal getting in the way

It’s optional and going into TWW they’re actually nerfing running without a pet slightly, so when you do summon a pet to BL the performance lost isn’t as big.
Intimidation (Pet Stun) will now summon the pet as part of the spell.
What they should do is make BL summon the pet too, and if specced into lone wolf, dismiss the pet shortly after.

yeah, MM was cool when i played it before. Seemed to be really slow but hard hitting at that point…like a ranged Ret paladin with a gun, lol.

Stacking mastery on Remix made your range so far your pet cant even reach the kills with fetch. XD

It’s been my favorite. Ive mained hunter since the beginning and enjoyed all 3, but love MM.
Want to play with a pet? Do it! Don’t? Do it!
The only downside is the lull when trueshot is on cooldown. There aren’t other real options other than popping arcane or steady shots. But I love the bursty part for leveling up and just world play.
I’ve always loved the ranger class and Beast Lord themes going all the way back to EverQuest.

it’s the only hunter I like but I definitely love playing it. I’ve got my complaints about the spec… 2 target cleave doesnt exist, bad utlity (tww changes this a bit), survivabilityfeels weak in M+ especially (tww might fix that with the extra charge), and the rotation can be kinda bad feeling especially when you’re focused flooded or focus starved lol trueshot windows always feel insane.
but yeah MM hunter is fun. hopefully more fun and better in TWW cuz it’s almost never been better than mid all of DF

The tier set in hellfire citadel in wod made it so much fun. Shooting aimed shot on the move was awesome. Bring it back blizz.
