I love the 1-60 leveling zones but

I love the 1-60 leveling zones but I have yet to actually finish a zone before all the quests turn grey. I wasn’t even running dungeons and I started Loch Moden at lvl 10 and by the time I got to the Lodge every quest I was getting was grey.

I think that’s a byproduct of Joyous Journeys which I don’t like, it’d be nice if it continued to upscale the experience or something you got for finishing out a zone because it feels wasteful either way (not completing the capstone quests, or wasting time doing them for the sake of completion).

But eh, of all the things that need attention in Classic I think this would be pretty low on the priority list.

Noticed that too, I just moved on to the next level range areas and picked up orange quests if they’re up. Greens all good and if your gathering its bonus mats. I’m hope outland and northrend are trivial as well for a couple of new characters. I loathe questing in those zones when they’re empty.

I am leveling a warlock (46), and wearing 35% bonus xp in heirloom gear, I was able to get the Westfall, Duskwood, Hinterlands, Western Plaguelands, and Eastern Plaguelands quest achievements without doing gray quests (that is, all the zones I attempted). :woman_shrugging:

Looks like this thread attracted all the sherlocks.

I warned of this years ago, and complained about it in the original cataclysm. You won’t do most of the content because you level past it too quickly. You don’t even need to go out into the world except for gathering skills. You could simply sit in a city and queue RDF from 15 all the way up.

You have a permanent 10% xp buff that was originally a guild perk and there’s no way to turn it off unless you turn off xp gain entirely.

Yep. And for a future Sherlock this is where scaling came from in retail .

Even current wow if you wanted to leave dwarf start walking up the one road to its end so to speak….you can. It will be “yellow” the whole way, from mountain to shining sea at the end.

If you’re not wearing heirlooms, then that’s certainly a problem lol if you are wearing heirlooms though, that’s kind of the point of them.

there is a reason why they call this retail lol
it’s the same spin over there but much worse

Yep. Even the pvp weapon looms. Those cut down time to kill mobs. And can iron out elite quests for good xp.

And stats. My be rogue is full kit weapons. One handers, rifle. Just shoulders for xp.

Ngl, it’s for effect . Stat stacking, more damage.

And good pr. I greed weapons. I don’t steal weapons from actual need players. If I win greed…well 4 other players are doing that too lol.

I’m leveling a mage with no heirlooms and am running into this.

JJ isn’t on right now

They solved this problem in Retail by allowing the zone to level up with you, and everyone complained.

Ah my b I only play 1 toon so I don’t have sight on it. That’s extra weird then, is level flattening the cause then?
